Watercolor Throwback - Wooden Chair Watercolor

Hello Ai Fans!

Time for another Watercolor Throwback from Ai! We have another fan-favorite ready to share with you from the archives. Bonnie created this stunning Wooden Chair Set image back in March of 2017. It has soared to almost 10,000 views on YouTube and is in our top 10 videos released in the last two years!

We love the adorable blue bird, small container, and gorgeous blooms Bonnie added to this image. She also used some items in this video you do not see very often! She featured our ivy vine from the Wooden Chair Set and the small buds and stemmed zinnias from our Flower Set 2!

NEW VIDEO! Nighttime Silhouette Watercolor by Kendra Krebs

Hello Ai Fans!

We are excited to have guest artist Kendra Krebs back this week for a NEW Watercolor Wednesday! Kendra always brings a new perspective and today she shows us how to create a whimsical forest scene, creating a dark foreground and lighter background, and uses a Molotow marker to create dots of light. Kendra simply used a couple tree sets and a few foliage sets to design this scene with three markers! Watercolor Throwback - Birch Trees Video

Hello Ai Fans!

Bonnie and Kate are back from our most recent trade show, so this week we are throwing back to a beloved video from September 2016! We wanted to feature this Birch Trees video, as it is a great example of scene building and how to create a forest scene.

Bonnie created this beautiful birch tree scene with stamps from our new Covered Bridge set! You will love how Bonnie creates rolling hills and a small stream by grabbing color from her Watercolor Palette. You will add dimension with multiple colors of leaves and shrubs, all only using 4 stamps!

Watercolor Throwback - Cottage & Fence Dies

Hello Ai Fans!

We have a Watercolor Throwback for Watercolor Wednesday this week! One of the most common questions we get at our retail shows is how to use our WC Fence Dies. We love this design by Bonnie and thought it was worth bringing back from October 2017!


Bonnie used both our WC Fence Dies and WC Cottages Set in this video! She starts by die cutting one of our fences with a Stamping Mask Paper and adhering to her watercolor paper. She then overlays our small and large grasses and vine from our Foliage Set 1, then adding flowers from our Flower Set 1. Bonnie then removes the mask and adds more vines and flowers over the posts on the left side. She also adds some small sprigs at the base of the fence posts. From there, she uses sticky notes to mask the foreground and our Stamp Positioner to perfectly place the cottage. She pulls color from the lines and adds brown from her palette and finishes the image with some climbing vines on the sides.

NEW VIDEO! Beach Scene with Circle Frame + HSN Thank You

Hello Ai Fans!

We are back for a NEW Watercolor Wednesday! This week, Bonnie creates a watercolor circle frame to view the tropical, beach scene on the inside of her card! She used our Circle Double Stitched Dies to create a frame and opening in the front of her card, then used the inner circle to watercolor a beach shanty beside the water, with a palm tree hanging over the top.

Watercolor Throwback - Glass Vase with Flowers

Welcome back, Watercolor Wednesday fanatics! We have been enjoying traveling around this summer meeting many of you during at retail shows! Thanks for tuning in and sharing your watercolor projects with us!

This week, Bonnie wanted to create a second Bridge & Cottage Scene (view our first video here) and transforms the bridge by selectively inking and placing in front of our WC Garden Shed image. We love how with a little sketching, you can create depth to your image with color from your palette!
