My project for today’s Watercolor Weekend is a cute little notecard, “FLOWERS”.
Begin by inking up the door stamp in two colors, first African Violet then Sepia to create a lovely greyish color and stamp in the middle of your watercolor paper. Pull the color from the lines using water and your watercolor brush. Scribble a little Salvia Blue onto your palette and brush onto for the walls. Stamp the wall texture in Brownish Grey. Add in the vines/foliage with Olive Green at the base, left side and above the door. Stamp in the flower in Olive Green and Iris Purple at the base of the door. Stamp in the tiny dot flowers inUltramarine for the climbing flowers and stamp the three cone shape flowers upside down to look like wisteria in Violet. Add Salvia Blue to your palette and brush in the window panes on the door. Scribble a bit of African Violet and Sepia, mix together to create that greyish color on your palette and brush onto the door plate. Darken up the door knob with African Violet. I lost my highlight on the door knob so I drew it in using a Signo White Pen. Draw in the “FLOWERS” sign using Sepia for the wood plank and the string in African Violet. Write the word FLOWERS using the fine tip of African Violet.
