Greetings on a fine July Saturday, my Ai friends! I hope you had a great week. I certainly had some fun making this card for you today. It's from a new set in the store called 5925 - Honey Bee Set.
There are many different images and matching dies for each of them in the set. However, I didn't use the dies for this card. I love that I have them so I can color and cut the images out when I want to do that.
I cut a piece of alcohol friendly cardstock 4" x 5 1/4". I put the cardstock in my stamp press and arranged the house, bees, honey jar, and flowers. I colored them with Copic markers. Then I colored in the shadow and ground, as well as stalks of grass. I also colored in some light blue sky. I cut three clouds from my stash in white glitter cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the set on one of the small clouds. In person, the sentiment is dark but the glitter finish makes it look light in the photo. I arranged the clouds and cut off the edges that overhung the panel. Then I added the sun brad and black and yellow sequins.
To finish the card, I mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock sized 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". Then I mounted it on an orange top-folded A2 card base. The result is this charming little scene full of adorable bees and a fanciful honey flower pot.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope enjoyed seeing my creation. Please visit the store to see all the things you need for your card, journal, and tag making projects. Be sure to take a look at all the new releases while you are there. Have a great weekend!
