CASE that card Challenge #398

Hello AI Fans! 

Welcome to our CASE that card challenge!

We want you to show us your cards that were inspired by someone else.

This can be someone from either of our Design Teams, someone from a fan group, or just someone that you saw online. The card you CASE (it stands for Copy And Steal Everything) doesn't have to be an Art Impressions card. You can just use Art Impressions stamps and/or dies to show how to recreate the card you loved. Be sure to give credit to the original artist whenever possible and try to share a photo of their card along with yours.

For example, Sharon's card was inspired by Kelly Latevola, and Sharon used her idea, along with Art Impressions stamps and dies to create something similar. We hope you all like this idea.  Before we see Sharon's AMAZING creation, let's see who won our Drink Up challenge.

Now let's see what Sharon has in store for you for her Feature. You are going to be blown away by her incredible puzzle card. I've never seen one of these but I'm instantly in love!

Now, here's Sharon! 

I'm so excited to get to show you our brand new challenge that's starting today, CASE that card! Here's a link to the adorable card I CASE'd by Kelly Latevola. I just loved her card and I couldn't wait to recreate it.  Now I did use a lot more stamps than she did, and it got a little tricky getting them stamped on all the layers correctly. But it only took me a couple tries and I just think it turned out so cute that I believe it was definitely worth it!  Here's a picture of the card with the puzzle solved...

And then here's a picture of it jumbled up the way you would send it. The top two layers spin really easily and the recipient has to match up the layers to see the finished card. Isn't that so fun??!!

You start by cutting out three or more (you can do as many as you want - but it adds a lot of work!) layers with your circle dies. You need to find the center of them, so the easiest way is to cut the same circle in a piece of light weight paper like typing paper. I folded it in half, then folded in half again. When you unfold it, you can line it up with your cardstock circle and punch a hole right through the center. Once all your holes are punched in the center, I took my paper piercer and put it through each center hole lining them up. Gripping them tight so they wouldn't move, I slid them off the paper piercer and onto my Misti.  I'm sorry, but you have to have a Misti or some type of stamp platform as you need to restamp each layer in the same spot. So I positioned the stamp, stamped it with all three layers of the panels in place, then carefully making sure nothing moves, remove the top layer, ink up your stamp and stamp it again. Then repeat for the 3rd layer. The really important part is to make sure the remaining layers don't move so it stamps again in the exact same spot. Continue until you have all the layers stamped the way you want. 

This is how it looks once all three layers are stamped. Next step is coloring them. 

Once I colored all three layers, I grabbed the new Basic Green Paper Pack! I love these new packs of paper!!! I used a mini white brad to connect the three panels.  Make sure you put something under the tines of the brad when you spread them so they're not too tight. You want to be able to spin the top two panels easily to work the puzzle. Now it's time to assemble. 

I matted the puzzle with a larger green panel cut from a die from my stash to help it stand out from the background. And I do love dimension, so I doubled up on the mounting tape on the under side. 

I created the card base and then added the puzzle on top. Of course I had to add a bow and a few drops from a gold pearl pen and it was finished!  So once again, a picture of the card front jumbled up...

And then how it looks once the recipient solves the puzzle. :)
