I used mostly glitter card stock on this piece. The light blue frame, the dark blue background, and the snow is all glitter card stock. I used paper bits in my stash to cut the trees, holly and the Merry Christmas Sentiment. Every piece of this is provided in the die set. I only substituted three red jewels for the berry dies in the set.
Once I cut out all the pieces, I pieced the snowman and his scene together. It goes together easily and the packaging tells you what every die is for. There are dies for the little eyes, nose and buttons of the snowman. I chose to stamp a face from another stamp set I have. Then I added pink cheeks with chalk. The drift of snow in the foreground is lifted up on foam pads. Otherwise this scene is flat.
Once the paper piecing was done, I cut out the base gift card holder and glued it together. Then it was simple to attach the snowman scene to the front of it with adhesive. He's a super gift and would be a pleasure to receive along with a gift card or cash which tucks into the back of the gift card holder.
Thanks for joining me on the blog today. As always, don't forget to find your favorite stamps, dies, papers, and accessories at the Ai Store! Just remember that you will need to visit Simon Says Stamp to pick up this adorable snowman gift card holder add-on.
