Hot Java by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Friends!

How's your Monday going?  Do you need some caffeine to get going?  I do enjoy a bit of coffee first thing in the morning!  As does Cathy Caffeine, taking a big sip of her coffee!

I stamped her in some brown ink and watercolored her in Distress Inks and a couple of Marvy LePlume II markers.  You'll find all the colors I used in the list below.  I'm really getting ready for fall, although we have at least another month of hot weather where I live!

Here are a couple of my "in progress" photos.  When I'm watercoloring the background like this, I think it's a good idea to tape down the paper to reduce any warping from the water.  If you've ever wondered how to watercolor Ai's people, Bonnie has a very good video HERE with some great tips to get you started!

   

I layered and popped up the die cut panel onto some pretty patterned paper.

Cathy Caffeine by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

This week we're sharing some fun Marvy products at Art Impressions.  

For my card I used Ai's

4322 – Cathy Caffeine Set and

AICS32 – Hot Java Mama.

I used several Marvy products on my card.  They were so much fun to use!

I started with the Marvy Easy Chalkboard Marker.  I used it to color my cardstock like a chalkboard.  Then I used the white Bistro Marker to write the special on the board.  I used the Jewel Picker to place my sequins.

On Cathy's earring I used the silver Marvy Deco Just Glitter Silver pen.

I also used several Marvy Le Plume markers to color her skin.

I used several stamps from the Java set on the inside of my card.

As you can see Art Impressions and Marvy make a great team!

Coffee Anyone?!!

Hi Ai Fans!

I love anything coffee themed! I have started a crafty "Coffee Collection" and the Art Impressions "Cathy Caffeine" is the perfect addition to my collection! 

I have used Cathy Caffeine before and actually almost the same layout. I can't help it..... just love how she looks like this! I love how the pink pops on the white Copic Friendly Paper!

I added some Doodlebug Twine and a coffee chipboard embellishment. I decorated the word "coffee" with Nuvo Glitter Drops in Golden Sunset! I love how shimmery it turned out!
