Coffee Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a coffee-themed card created with the 5518 - Hot Mess Laugh Lines Set. This stamp set includes one main image a large variety of fun sentiments to customize your project. I can honestly say that this lady looks the way I feel after a busy week.

For the stamping, I used black ink and colored the lady with Copic Markers. I stamped the image a second time on to plaid pattern paper and cut out the arm chair to give a fabric look. This is a fun way to add texture to the chair and I love the plaid design!

I wanted it to look like she was sitting in house, so I used a ruler to draw the wooden floor planks and molding. To add some color to the walls, I ink blended with Distress Oxide ink before stamping the sentiment with black ink. I like that it looks like a spotlight in the center of the card and the blue tones are so pretty!

Lastly, I added layers of yellow, green, and blue plaid paper before attaching the card to a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

Hot Cocoa Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card inspired by the Ai Diamonds and Pearls Challenge. For my project, I used the cute 5564 -Mousey Christmas Set to create a fun holiday card. I love hot cocoa, and this would totally be me if I was a mouse!

The adorable mouse was stamped with black hybrid ink and I used Copic Markers for all of the coloring. To go with the challenge theme, I added little rhinestones to the sky and I love the sparkle! I think this stamp is just too cute!

To complete the card, I added holiday pattern paper and stamped "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" with dark green ink. This mouse would also look great on a gift tag this holiday season!

Thank you so much for stopping over today and I hope you enjoyed this card!
Have a wonderful day!

Stressed and Coffee Obsessed! by ReneƩ Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

There's a super fun challenge going on here on the blog called Tickle Our Funny Bone!
Click the "Current Challenge" tab above to be taken to the page.

I've made a card using the new Laugh Lines set called 5518 – Hot Mess Laugh Lines.

This fun set (that's SO relatable) comes jam packed with 18 sentiment stamps that coordinate perfectly with this image!

The mug is colored to match one that I have.  As much as I LOVE the smell of coffee and coffee themed cards I don't actually drink it.  All of my mugs are for soup or holding candy and art supplies.

Coffee-Themed Birthday Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new slimline coffee-themed card created with the super fun Hat's Off Miss Set!

This stamp set includes several hats, but this coffee one is my favorite; I love the straw too! The image was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. This set also includes the coordinating dies making it super easy to cut the images out!

I wanted the background to be bright and unique, so I created a background with a stencil and blue Distress Oxide Inks. The sentiment was also stamped with a deep teal ink color to match the woman's outfit; I love these pretty blue shades!

To complete the card, I added layers of white and teal cardstock and a layer of mirrored paper. The mirrored paper adds a nice shine to the design! After adding all the layers, I attached the card panel to a white heavy-weight card base to complete the project.

Thank you for stopping over today and I hope you enjoyed this slimline card!

Coffee Gift Card Holder by Crystal

Hi Ai fans!
It's back to school time! So I played with the Coffee gift card holder this set would be perfect for teachers. What a wonderful way to thank a teacher with a coffee gift card tucked away in an adorable coffee card.

I used some fun bright blue polka dot pattern paper for my coffee cup.

I added a little tag that read "Thanks a Latter!" with some twine how adorable is that?!?

The set comes with a stamp to stamp the coffee cup wrap if you want to. I chose to use it and checked the Thanks since I was making my card as a thank you.

Happy Stamping!

Cat and Java GCH by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!!

Today I'm sharing my second post of the day with you.  I made two gift card holders.

As you can see I chose NOT to make him black.  He's not just for Halloween.  My niece has two cats and would LOVE to get a gift card from me in this.

I love this cat and can picture him in so many different colors...maybe with some cute stripes.

The envelope die is so quick and easy to assemble.

My second GCH uses the 5343 – Java GCH Set.

There are so many fun accessories that come with the set. I used some of them on the back of the envelope.

Coffee BFF's by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the Coffee BFF's stamp set from Art Impressions.
I started by picking the paper I wanted.  I thought this pretty pattern paper went well with the green I wanted for my background and the mat for my main image.  I also had the perfect green and white bakers twine that matched perfectly. I tied my bow double for extra loops.
Once I had my paper picked out I could start coloring my gal pals.  I trimmed them to the size I wanted and instead of a straight on mat I decided to shift the green paper for a little variety.

Here is one more look at the finished card.  I love the "generic" format of this card.  You really can use this for absolutely ANY occasion you needed.  I love cards that are versatile to any occasion.
I absolutely LOVE this color combo and papers together so be on the look out for these papers in the future.

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Make sure you come back soon to the Ai blog and see what the team has been up to.

New Gift Card Holder Release + Give It Away Challenge #275

Hello, Ai Fans!

Get ready for the release of these perfectly giftable Art Impressions Stamp & Die Sets!

Our first set is our Coffee Gift Card Holder  This design is definitely our "cup of tea" (or coffee) when it comes to thank you cards, Valentine's, or any occasion! Your set includes dies and stamps to create a gift card slot so you can show your special someone how much you care. Sentiments and decorative elements are included for an authentic, cafe-brewed feel!

Hello Ai fans!

ReneĆ© here! I hope you all love this new set as much as I do.  How many of us has a friend... or 10 that are obsessed with coffee??  Even if they aren't, this is such a cute way to give a friend a gift card of any sorts!

When you first give the card it looks just like that...a card.  Then your friend realizes that the lid pops off and they have an extra special gift inside!

I created two versions, both very similar.

For some reason I felt like twine really went with this set.  I know everyone has a different vision for stamp sets but I saw twine.  I can't wait to see what you all create with this amazing new set!

The second addition for this week is our Mailbox Gift Card Holder Enjoy this special delivery--a stamp and die set that is a gift-card holder with decorative elements for any occasion. Ten dies and 8 stamps are included with this versatile and sweet set.
The brand new Small Alphabet Set is a great companion to add an address, recipient, or name on the mailbox!

So...it's ReneĆ© again.  What better name to go on a mailbox
than the one and only Bonnie Krebs!!

She is the original and nearly only artist at Art Impressions.  Her children, to my knowledge,
are the only other Ai artists.  What a proud family heritage!

I love this new mailbox.  It has SO many possibilities!

When you open up the mailbox it reveals your gift to your friend.  Mine was a GC to my mom and pretty much my best friend.  We love to go out to lunch and shopping when I have a day off.  (she's retired...darn her!  But she deserves it!)  I have to wait for a holiday or weekend! lol!

It is THURSDAY which means it is time for a card challenge! This challenge is all about Coffee Cards! To inspire you to enter, we have Jessica today to share a fabulous project, let's take a look!

Hello Ai fans!

Welcome back to a new challenge! This time we are making coffee cards, which is one of my favorite themes to make for cards. I'm one of those that do require some caffeine in the morning! Today I'm using the Valentine's Bear set to make a cute watercolor coffee Anniversary card. Card process VIDEO below.

To start I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the bear holding the heart banner. I also stamped the paw and heart on to a Post-it Note to use a mask. That way when I stamped the bear in the cup, the paw from the banner bear is positioned in front. Then, I heat set the black ink with a heat gun. The Versafine Clair is a pigment ink so it does take some time to dry unless you heat set it. But it is great for water coloring.

For the coloring I used the Koi Pocket Sketch 24 pan set. The colors I used are listed below. I decided on a pink, blue, green and gold color scheme to go along with the brown bears. For the gold accents I used the Kuretake Starry colors watercolor set, specifically the yellow gold. I add this shimmer paint to the handle and hearts on the cup and also to the lower half of the banner hearts. I love adding small details like that.

I thought my coloring could use a little more depth. One of the things I like to do for that is add some coloring using Prismacolor Pencils. This just darkens those shadow areas more.

I did some die cutting with the largest Circle Double Stitch die around the bears, then used the smallest Rectangle Double Stitch die, to die cut a piece of Doll Pink card stock. This is what the sentiment will be heat embossed on to. For that I used "Wishing you a Latte Love" stamp and white embossing powder.

I also found a scrap piece of Island Blue to use on the left side, this color matched the blue on the bear's shirt and the plate of tea cup pretty well. I also created a background using the same Yellow Gold paint from the Starry Colors set. I painted a half circle for the bears to sit on and also added some gold splatter too.

Once it was all dry I use my ATG to adhere everything together. As a final step, for the front, I scattered some gold sequins on the right side with the help of tweezers and Multi Medium Matte glue. I keep the inside simple by stamping the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment from the Love Birds set with Nocturne ink, and the banner bear with a light gray ink. I thought the inside needed some pink so I took the same colored pencil as I used on the shading before and lightly colored in the hearts.

I love how the gold watercolor flashes in the light.
