The house on Ai Lane by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a little house I whipped up.

I used a wonderful die that Ai carries called 4619 – Window Die.

I also used 4607 – Flowering Mailbox

Wouldn't we all like to live on Ai Lane??

On the inside I used an image from the Cottage Sets line called  4745 – Talk Much Set.

UPDATE...

Some people were interested in more details about my card.  I just used a basic stair step card as my base.  The only change I made was to make the side panels 1" instead of 1.25" so that there would be plenty of room for the window. The center panel measures 3.5" wide.  I used this template I found on Google for my card.

I cut the window on the front panel after cutting my card.  It fit right in my Cuttlebug.

The window die is a two piece set.  I cut the inside pane first and then cut and glued the window frame and shutters over the opening.

For the awning I just cut a piece of gray paper the same width as the center portion of the card.  It measures 3 1/2" x 1 3/4".  I scored it and glued it on after cutting some of the scallops and adhering them.  I cut the Martha Stewart grass to the same width as the card and used foam adhesive to create layers for a 3-D effect.

The scalloped panels were popped up with foam adhesive.

New COTTAGE and DIE! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a one of Art Impressions new releases...Cottage and Die set (sku#4746)

The set includes the adorable little cottage and the two dies to cut the window and door.

The reason for the verse is my friend just moved into a new house!  I thought this would be the perfect card to give her with her house warming gift.

I love how you can look in the window or door and get a preview of what's inside.

On the inside I used TALK MUCH SET (sku#4745) There are 4 different images you can purchase separately for the inside of the cottage cards. (or they'e just cute on their own too...ooo...or with the Windows to the World die or...I'm thinking the possibilities are endless.)

I really love this picture with the light shining through.  I think it helps you understand the dimension that these see through dies, especially the ones like these that "pop" out, add to your card.

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

 

Today I have a card using some of the fun, NEW Ai Cottage Line images. They include a cottage house for the outside (card front) and several different images to place on the inside of your card.  PLUS...the cottage stamp includes a matching die to cut the window and door so you get a little peek of the inside!

 

Here I used the Ai Cottage & Die Set (4746) and the Talk Much Set (4745) .  Check out the current Ai Challenge for more cards using the New Cottage Line!

 

 

I love this hexagon pattern on the background paper.  It reminds me of a quilt and seemed to give this a cozy, "homey" feel.  The chair peeking through the window adds to that effect perfectly.  Can you see a bit of the chandelier through the door?

 

 

Someone find me a cozy cottage with a blue door and pink chairs please!  :)
