Merry and Bright Christmas Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here, thrilled to share my latest creation in the spirit of the season – a delightful holiday card inspired by the "Making Spirits Bright Challenge." Now that the Holiday Season is in full swing, my crafting hands are busy bringing Christmas cheer to life, and I couldn't be more excited about the charming 5802 - Joyful Snowman Set!

Let's talk about the star of the show – the adorable snowman adorned with holiday lights. Honestly, all the snowman stamps are darling, but this one stole my heart. As I gazed upon it, I thought – what if a mischievous kitty joined the snowy fun? And voila! The 5098 - Cozy Cat Cubbies Set provided the perfect feline companion, nestled cozily next to the snowman, adding an extra layer of cuteness to the card.

Now, onto the greeting! The 5040 - Sleigh Bells Set boasts a whimsical font that worked beautifully with this winter wonderland scene. Opting for a light blue ink not only complements the overall color scheme but also enhances the frosty vibe of the card.

To bring it all together, I incorporated silver glitter paper for a touch of holiday sparkle, deep teal cardstock for contrast, and a delightful piece of check pattern paper from the Ai 5835 - Mini Journal Paper Pack. I must confess – I have a soft spot for snowflakes!

Thank you for taking a peek at today's holiday card! I invite you to join in the "Making Spirits Bright Challenge" and share your own creative expressions!

Have a Meow-y Christmas Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a cat-themed holiday card created for the Ai Christmas Came Early Challenge. For my project I'm featuring the cute 5098 - Cozy Cubbies Set and the 5566 - Christmas Sentiments Set. I love these cute little cat stamps and the Ai cubbies are always fun!

In addition to the current challenge, Art Impressions is also a sponsor of the Cat Lovers Christmas Challenge. be sure to head over to the challenge site to see more details on how to participate and read more about this special Hop.

Art Impressions has so many cat stamp sets and it's fun to mix the sets or think of new ways to use the stamps. To give the design a Christmas feel, I drew little lights around the cat tree and used holiday colors throughout the card. I also added a little snowflake design on the cat toy, it reminds me of an ornament,

For the greeting, I embossed with white on to red card stock to bring in more red color and cut around the words with scissors. I just love the way embossed letters look; so pretty!

Lastly, I added layers of green and tan card stock and a paw print holiday pattern paper. I think this card is so happy and will be great to send to someone special this holiday season!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Cozy Cat Cubbie Hidden Message Card by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Cozy Cat Cubbie stamp and die set. I used the tiny kittens to add to the openings of a hidden message card. Every time the wheel is turned, a new cat shows in the window. I used the Freebie Cat stamp.  Did you know you can choose a freebie stamp with your order?
This entire card is based off of the Hidden Message dies from Diamond Press.  It comes with all of the dies to make this a simple process.  In the past I made my hidden message cards from scratch. I cut the circle part out of Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper.   The set came with a template to show where the five openings would be as the wheel is turned. I traced those onto the wheel very lightly with a pencil.
I stamped the images onto the wheel piece with Gina K. Amalgam ink and erased the pencil lines. I also stamped the freebie cat onto a piece of the same paper and cut it out with my scissors.  I then colored them with Copic markers.  The colors I used will be listed at the end of this post.
I cut out the main layer of the card with the dies.  I cut a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper and white cardstock  so it is sturdy. I cut another piece of patterned paper a bit smaller than the main piece.. I then glued everything together.  so it is sturdy. I cut another piece of patterned paper.
I cut another piece of Spectrum Noir paper with the rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.  and stamped the freebie cat and sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I attached the colored cat onto it.  I added in the wheel following the directions on the dies.  I then added foam tape to it and stuck it all to a white A2 card.
Copic Colors Used.
Gray - C5, C3, C1, C0
Tan - E35, E33, E31
Black - C7, C5, C3
Cream - W5, W3, W1, W0
Orange - YR27. YR24. YR23
Green - YG03

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

You Clever Cat | Cubbie card | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

I hope you guys have been enjoying these fun cubbies for the challenge #257 Furry Friends. Today I wanted to share this fun card I made using the Art Impressions Cozy Cat Cubbie. I still had the rainbow background I made for the Hero Arts 45th Anniversary blog hop and I thought it would look cute with this playful stamp set.

I stamped all my images out on some kraft cardstock. I selectively stamped a few of the cat beds, I did that by inking the area around the bed on the cat cubbie. I'm going to fussy cut those images, so the rest of the lines wont be seen.

This time, instead of using Copic markers, I used watercolor pencils. This is a inexpensive set I found at my local craft store. I've never used them on kraft cardstock and was pleasantly surprised by how well they colored. These pencils are not name and only numbered, so I wont be listing those today. The kraft cardstock I'm using is just regular cardstock from Neenah. So, it does not take to a lot of water well, but these watercolor pencils react and blend really easily. For all the white areas I used a white Prismacolor pencil.

I used a piece of black cardstock and stamped most of the sentiments and the yarn ball, all over half of the panel. Then I used clear embossing powder and melted that with a heat gun. I took the full panel that was die cut with the Hero Arts circle confetti die and adhered a piece of white craft foam behind it.

If you would like to see how the rainbow background was made check out this blog post on the Art Impressions blog.
Or click here and head on over to my you tube video showing the process.

Once it was dry I sliced the panel at a diagonal and adhered one half to my black cardstock. Last step I adhered the kitty cubbie and extra bed, then attached the little cozy kitties to areas on the cubbie.

Alright guys that's it from me! Thank you so much for joining me today!
