Congratulations you two! Pirjoliini, the color piecing in this Golfer SKU#T3475 stamp is fabulous, and we love how you cut the man to put him on center stage! All of the entries were so fun and creative! Great work, crafters! And now back to our new patriotic challenge!

Start July with a bang! Independence Day is just around the corner, and it's time to make some star-spangled cards! We want to see how you celebrate and create!

Cheri is here to give us a tutorial on how to make her fabulous red, white and blue card! Take it away, Cheri!

Hi everyone!
Here's my card for the red, white and blue Challenge. When I heard about this Challenge I immediately thought of the Girlfriends 2015 Quilt set. I could just see the quilt done in those colors!

I chose papers from Tailored Expressions called Summer Nights. This collection is all in red, white and blue...very patriotic! I layered the patterned papers with red and blue, added a white ribbon with a heart slider for fun! The Quilt set comes with 3 sentiments and I used one on the front of the card and one inside.

I used the Perfect Layers Mini from Perfect Paper Crafts to layer my sentiment with red and blue. I always like to use up my scraps from when I am cutting my pattern paper, so I die cut little flags and added them to the inside.

All my layers are glued onto a pre-made 5.5" square card. I used foam squares to pop up the image and sentiment to add dimension to my card.

Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20, R24
Hair: W1, W3, W5 / E43, E44, E47 / Y21, YR23
Quilt: R000, R29, BG53, B99
Quilt Border: R24, R27, R29
Top & pants: R21, 22
Pants: B81, B83, B85, B99
Shoes: B99, R24, R29, W3, W5

I always like to use a black Gel pen on the girls eyes and also glossy accents on the glasses. I also used clear Wink of Stella on the hearts, quilt border and earrings. Hope this card helps inspire you to make a Red, White & Blue project to enter in our new Challenge!
Happy Stamping!

Thanks for another challenge, and a special shout out to Karen Day - her card, from an April post, inspired my coloring - though my result is not nearly as lovely as heres.
