Serving Sass and Smashes! Card by Tasha

 Happy Friday Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here sharing a pickleball card created with the fun 6074-Pickleball Patty Set and 6097-Pickleball Paper Pack. I recently got this set and think it's just perfect for all my pickleball playing friends. Patty looks like she is living her best life on the court and I love her outfit!

This card was also inspired by the current challenge. The challenge is all about the color Yellow, so I used the color on Patty's outfit and on the bottom card stock layer. I love the pink & yellow color combination with the blue plaid paper!
Lastly, I stamped "Serving Sass and Smashes!" on to a coordinating scalloped frame. I also used a large scalloped frame to cut the center card. I think scalloped edges give a nice polished look to cards and like that this set includes a variety of sizes.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

NEW Pickleball Patty! You Have To Meet Her! by Janet

The newest Girlfriend stamp and die sets are absolutely adorable, and I couldn't wait to play with them! Today, my card proudly features the super fun 6074 - Pickleball Patty. This fantastic set comes with Patty herself, several sentiments, and a matching die, which is always a huge bonus! While this is a pickleball themed set, the sentiments make it appropriate for anyone who likes tongue-in-cheek humor, not just people who happen to like playing pickleball.

To start this card, I stamped and colored Patty using my Copic markers. Once she was complete, I cut her out with the coordinating die, applied foam tape to her back for dimension, and set her aside, ready for her big debut on the card.

There's also a brand-new paper pack designed to go with each of the new Girlfriend sets. I don't have them yet, but these packs offer ready-made background scenes perfect for placing each of the ladies right into the action. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on these backgrounds because they'll work with so many different stamp sets. Imagine: instant pickleball and tennis scenes with minimal effort! What a time-saver!

Since I didn't have the new paper pack yet, I made my own background using papers and ephemera from my supplies. I started by gluing a 4" x 5 1/4" patterned mat onto an A2, side-fold, kraft cardstock base. To convey a sense of motion, I placed a piece of star ephemera behind Patty's paddle. I think it really gives the impression of a "smack" motion with the paddle!

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a clay-colored piece of cardstock with white embossing powder, and also added foam tape to the back for dimension. The striking diamond background strip was created with a stencil, applying clay-colored ink on a white piece of cardstock. I then backed it with a slightly larger strip of clay cardstock. I intentionally placed the finished strip at an angle, as I believe the tilt also suggests movement and energy. Once this dynamic background was all in place, I added Patty, bringing the whole scene to life.

I have to say that this card is one of my absolutely favorites that I've made this year. Patty is incredible and larger than some of the other Girlfriend stamps, making it easier to color and add your own touches, like the large polka dots on her red skirt. You have to give these new sets a try!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to find your favorite stamps, dies, papers and accessories at the Ai Store! You'll always find something that calls to you.

Happy crafting!

Fabulous Friendship by Janet

Some friends are simply irreplaceable. They're the ones you can truly relax with, sharing laughter and tears, and knowing they'll always have your back. Today's card celebrates those special connections.

This card features the "3570-In The Tub Set," showcasing four ladies enjoying a hot soak and wine. It's a delightful, large image that comes with three sentiments. I love how you can almost hear the laughter — perhaps the redhead just told a hilarious joke, and the others are reacting with pure joy. That's the magic of the Girlfriends sets; they spark your imagination and let you envision the scene unfolding.

To create this project, I started by stamping and coloring the hot tub image. Then I masked the bottom of the image and stamped in a stone floor with a stamp in my collection. I then colored everything with Copic markers.

I initially planned to fill in the background with markers, but then I had a little "oops!" A drop of marker ink for the redhead's hair dripped outside the lines. Instead of starting over, I decided to trim the ladies and hot tub out with scissors to eliminate the ink blob. This led to a happy accident! I found a piece of brick-printed paper, matted it in red, and then secured the trimmed image on top with foam tape for extra lift and dimension. Finally, I adhered the entire panel to a white A2 card base and tucked a sentiment behind the ladies' heads.

If you're ready to add this charming set (or any other crafty goodies!) to your stash, be sure to visit the Ai Store this weekend. They have everything you need – stamps, dies, papers, and accessories – to bring your creative ideas to life!

Frappe Birthday Cards by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing two cards created with the fun Art Impressions Sweet Bday STAMPtember Exclusive Stamp Set.

The first card was an outdoor scene and I added puffy golden clouds to the sky. I wanted it to look like a sunny day and thought the yellow color gave a sunshine look. I also had so much fun coloring the clothes and donuts on this card, doesn't the donut tower looks so yummy? I love chocolate!!!

The second has a similar outdoor scene, but I added blue clouds and different paper layers to make a totally different look. I love the lady's red hair and pink and purple color combination is perfect for the donut theme.

Lastly, I stamped "Frappe Birthday" for the greeting on both cards to complete the designs. These will make great birthday cards, but this set can really be used on year-round projects. The stamp set also includes several sentiments and another donut image that you can add to your projects.

I hope you enjoyed todays cards and are inspired to create with the Art Impressions Sweet Bday STAMPtember Exclusive Set from Simon Says Stamp. This set is awesome, but it's only here for a limited time and once it sells out, it's gone forever.

Have a great day!

Friendship Is The Best Combo! by Janet

I'm so happy to be here today to show off the stamp set that Art Impression has made for Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember! This year's collaboration marries three themes together deliciously - friendship, donuts, and coffee. The set is called Sweet BDay. You can get it with the stamps only or with the matching die included. It's only available at Simon Says Stamp and only until it's sold out. If past history predicts the future, it won't last long!

To make my card, I stamped and colored the two ladies with their treats and coffee. I fussy cut the image and set it aside. Next, I made an A2 card base. I layered papers from the 5832-Gnome Paper Pack. I cut a border and a mat for it with my paper cutter. I cut another rectangle to mat the stamped image using 5063-Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies. Then I layered the pieces to complete the background. I thought it would add some cheer to create some balloons. I stamped, colored and cut three balloons that are included the 5455-Birthday Buggy Set. I used a black pen to draw in balloon strings. Once that was all in place, I put foam tape on the back of the ladies and placed them on the card front. They are so cute!

Thanks so much for joining me to see what I created for you today. Please visit the Ai store for the sets I used and all the things you need for your card, journal, and tag making projects. Don't forget that you can only get this set at Simon Says Stamp so please visit there to get your exclusive limited edition stamp set. Have a great weekend!

For a Special Friend Card by Tasha

 Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current "My Favorite Peeps" Challenge. For my project I used the 5798-Gardening Girlfriends Set and 5595-Harvest Pumpkin Set to make a colorful Fall scene.

I started by stamping the lady and used masking paper to cover her before adding the other images. Once she was masked, I stamped the apples, pumpkins, and purple flowers. The apples are from the 5059-WC Harvest Set and the flower stamp used is from the 4052-WC Flower Set 1.

After the stamping was completed, I added stenciled yellow clouds for the sky. I thought the warm golden colors would go with the Fall theme and and love how the fluffy clouds look next to the pumpkins!

Next, I gently removed the masking paper and colored the images with Copic Markers. For the bag holding the apples, I added a piece of scrap plaid pattern paper. I also added Distress Ink to the edges to tone down the bright white color and think it works great with the colors used on the woman's outfit.

Lastly, I stamped "Plant memories, grow love" on top of the clouds and embossed "For a special friend" on the bottom of the card. I also added layers of purple and deep yellow card stock and a pretty leaf patter paper to complete the design.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and will participate in the Art Impressions Challenge!
Have a wonderful day!
