"At least I wore a cardigan!" by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

I'm here with you today to show you the card I created for the Pretty in Pink challenge going on right now on Art Impressions Blog.  I don't know if any of you watch Tik Tok, but a while back, I saw a video where some friends thought it would be really funny to dress up their husbands in matching shirts for a party (without the men knowing about it of course). So while I was thinking about what I wanted to create, I came across my #4474 Old Guys Club Set and the light bulb came on! I just love the grumpy look on these guys, so I thought I might as well give them something to be grumpy about, right? LOL!  I stamped the image onto Cryogen white paper and then colored them us using Copic markers. I made the card super simple by using the largest #5062 Rounded Rectangle Double Stitched Die set.  I simply folded my cardstock in half and then placed the top of the die just above the seam of the fold and ran it through my die cut machine.  Voila - a folded shaped card!  I always cut another full piece of either the same cardstock or the patterned paper I want to use and glue it to the front of the card base.  Doing that hides that flat fold that doesn't have stitching. Then I used the next size down to cut out my image panel. The sentiments were created with my computer and then cut out with some word bubble dies from my stash.

Hope I gave you a little chuckle today! Sometimes we need that on Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a crafty day!

Happy Birthday ya ol geezer!! by Sharon Caudle

Hello AI Fans!!

I'm pretty sure we all need a good giggle to help us get through the day right now.  And Birthdays continue on, no matter what is happening.  So I have a fun birthday card for you today that you can give to any gentleman in your life.  I LOVE this sentiment! LOL! I used #4474 Old Guys Club Set from the AI People line. And then I thought this sentiment paired with it so well!! There are so many awesome sentiments in #5278 Dance it Out Laugh Lines!!!  I also used #5133 Flag Double Stitched Dies to enhance the sentiment.  Added a couple Sprinkles and called 'er done!!

A good look at the "old guys"  LOL!

And a good look at that awesome sentiment on the Flag Die!! Link to the die set is both above and below, whichever is easier for you!

So that's it for me this week!  Please stay safe, stay home, stay healthy, and until next time - stay crafty!!

Sending the world a big hug!!

Just the Guys by Dana Warren

Hello AI Fans!!!

Today I have a masculine card featuring the Old Guys Club! It's great paired with a masculine paper collection. It's also a great way to make easy cards, since the embellishments or stickers all match.

Started by stamping the old guys and coloring them with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used AG1, AG3, AG5, BG1, BG4, BG6, BO2, BO3, BO4, HB2, HB3, IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, MB1, MB3, MB4. For the dark skin, I used Copic E25, E44, E57, E59.

Next, pulled out Echo Park Paper Co That's My Boy paper collection pack. I added the orange pattern to a card base, then trimmed down my colored image and added it to the card. The collection pack has a sheet of stickers and I picked out a sentiment sticker that I added above the image and a couple stars and banner stickers adding them with foam tape. With stickers, I always add baby powder to the back so they are not sticky anymore. I do this because I always lay the items down to see how I like the placement and I always move stuff around, so this way I can do that before committing!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping!!

Old Guys Club!

Hi Ai Fans!
I think this stamp set is one of my favourites! This is "Old Guys Club" from Art Impressions! I can just picture what these guys are saying to each other, can't you? I picture them sitting in the park on this bench, their weekly meeting spot and chatting about the past days! Or maybe the Grand kids..... or the state of the world or just simply people watching! The fellow on the right cracks me up....typical man, can sleep anywhere LOL!
I inked all the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and added a few enamel dots (my obsession). I chose paper from the MME Now and Then 6x6 collection sticking with a trap theme to my colouring!
I popped up the sentiment and the 3 flags for some added dimension.
