Cock-A-Doodle-Doo!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!
Let me introduce you to "Scratch"! Scratch is the "Man" around the chicken coop in the Ai Bird Brains line of stamps! He's one super cool dude with those glasses and I'm sure the chickens all swoon over him LOL!
I stamped and cut Scratch out with my Silhouette machine and then coloured him with my Copic Markers. I am using paper from the MFT Fresh Gingham paper collection. I thought the Ai "Chicken Wire" background stamp was perfect to layer behind Scratch.
On the inside, I used a bit more of the designer paper to layer behind the "It's Been Ages" sentiment.
Copics Used:
R24, R27, R29, E07, E08, E09
YR16, YR18, YR21, YR24, YR27

If you haven't checked out the Bird Brains stamp line you have to head over to the online Ai Store and see all the cute and funny chicken themed stamps! You'll chuckle for sure!

Happy Stamping!

Scratch by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

I guess I should clean up my pile of scrap paper more often.  I was rummaging through it the other day and came across a half finished card.  I had started making a duplicate of THIS card and apparently never finished.  I changed things up a bit and came up with what you see here.

Scratch by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I am sharing one of the infamous Art Impressions 'Bird-Brains' today!  How can you not love Scratch (Sku #1833)??  His pose is hilarious, but it's the grin that really gets you...
I stamped Scratch using Staz-On ink on watercolor paper so that I could use my Tombow watercolour markers to colour him, along with a wet paintbrush to soften and blend the colours.

Here's a close-up of my colourful feathered friend.

And finally, I wanted to share my inspiration with you - I found this on Pinterest and immediately knew that I wanted to try something similar with the Bird-Brains!  This is a print of an original watercolour by artist Renee Chastant.  My version is a little tame next to Renee's, but I'm working up to it!  Happy stamping, everyone!

A cool kind of Rooster...

Hello Ai friends, and Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share this fun and cool character with you. His name is "Scratch" SKU# T1833, and they don't come any cooler than him as far as rooster's go! I started out with a 6" x 5-1/2" kraft cardstock base, then added a layer of dark yellow cardstock, to bring out Scratch's golden glow. I picked out a fall/autumn themed 6"x6" paper pad. I liked so many of the designer papers, I decided to use five of them!

Here is a close up of the coloring on "Scratch". (Please click on the image to see an enlarged image). I stamped Scratch with black ink, and colored him in with my Prisma Color pencils, using gamsol and paper stumps to blend the colors. I drew in some grass around his feet. I did a little paper piercing around the edges for some added detail. I really love the look of distressing my edges with Tim Holtz's distress inks. Just adds a little something. I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine, and added a couple of stick pins in coordinating colors, along with two buttons.

For the inside of my card I stamped the fun sentiment "Strut Your Stuff" SKU# F1861.
This was a fun card to create, I hope you enjoyed it. Please stop by tomorrow to see what fabulous project Jessica has in store for you!
