Love Is In The Air!

Howdy Ai Fans!
I wanted to share another Valentine's Day card with you! Today I am using the Art Impressions set called "Val". I have to say I think Val is one of my favourite Valentine themed stamps from Ai! He is just so cute and that expression on his face makes me grin every time!
For this card I wanted to try something a little different for the background. Instead of using scrapbook papers I decided to make the background myself! Using Tim Holtz Distess Inks, blending tools and a piece of watercolour paper, I used a circular motion and covered my piece of paper with the ink.
I made some ink splatters using the end of a paintbrush and various paint mediums in colours to match.

I used this sentient on the inside from the Ai "In The Air" set.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20
Reds: R22, R24, R27, R29
Greys: C1, C3, C5

Happy Stamping!

Love is In The Air!

Hi Ai Fans!
Valentine's Day is fast approaching and love is in the air for sure! My card today is using the oh so adorable Art Impression "Val Set".
I chose the Designer paper from the Crate Paper "Hello Love" 6x6 collection. Val has clear Wink of Stella on his wing and the hearts on his shorts.
I made the cloud background using a die from the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 dies. I cut out the die on a scrap piece of cardstock. Using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Salty Ocean, I made the cloud pattern. I love when an idea in your head actually works LOL!
On the inside I used the Ai "Hapy Valentine's Day" sentiment stamp.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20
Reds: R21, R22, R24, R27
Greys: C2, C3, C5, C7

Reneé's top 5 for 2015!

Hello Ai fans!
Due to the busy time of year our bosses at Art Impressions have given us a little time off.  Our assignment this week was to choose our 5 favorite cards from the year.  Not an easy task.  I wanted to choose at least one from every line. I narrowed it down to 10 and then had my husband and two kids vote.  Most of these they chose unanimously.

So those were the 5 they chose.  I was really sad that not one of them picked this next card though.  I know the instructions were to pick 5 but I just had to include this one.  I love the Polar Pals and can see them being used in so many more ways than just for Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and wish you the best in the new year!  See you in 2016!!

Here's the link to my faves from last year...
