Happy Valentine's Day by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri Firth here! Happy Valentine's Day! Today I am sharing another Valentine's day card featuring the In The Air Set. The background design and the shape of their tails make this project perfect for Ai's current challenge, "We "Heart" Hearts"!

To create the background I used a Hearts stencil with Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks. I die cut the front panel with the second largest die from the Square Double Stitched Die set.

To decorate the square panel I stamped and colored the lovable skunks from the In The Air Set with my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post. Next, I stamped the sentiment in pigment black ink onto the square panel. The sentiment is part of the In The Air Set too!

Finally, I added three white glitter enamel dots for embellishment in the bottom right hand corner.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!

In the Air by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

For today's card, I made an interactive card with a regular stamp set.  I really like to do this and haven't done it in a while.  I used the In the Air stamp set along with the Slider Die.  There are quite a few cute stamp sets that work along with the Slider Die, but I really wanted to make the boy skunk move towards the girl skunk for a kiss.  I hope you enjoy this card and take a second look at some of the stamps you have to see if they might work the same way.
The images were stamped onto Spetrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with My Favorite Things Extreme Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. The image was cut in half between the skunks arms, noses & tails.  They were both fussy cut out right along the stamped line.  A Sakura Black Glaze pen was added over the eye and noses of the skunks for dimension.  A Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Marker was added over the skunks hair.
All of the card elements were cut from The Paper Studio Vintage Valentine 6x6 paper.  The Slider Die was assembled and attached to the front of the card as directed on the packaging. A piece of paper measuring 1 1/2" x 5" was cut from the patterned paper to form the slider piece.  An eyelet was added on the pull tab side and pink embroidery floss was added into the eyelet.  The edges were also punched with the Cloud corner chomper. The pull tab was added into the slider piece.  The boy skunk was positioned at the far end away from the pull tab.  The girl skunk was positioned right by the pull tab.  The boy skunk was attached to the pull tab with foam tape and the girl skunk was attached to the slider piece.  It is important that the foam tape not touch the other pieces or the moving parts will stick.  The skunks were positioned so they kiss when the pull tab is moved.
Copic Markers Used:
Dark Skunk - C3, C5, C7, R20
Light Skunk - C0, C1, C3, C5, R20
Bow - R20, R21, R22, R24

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Ghirardelli valentine treats by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a project using one of the Ai Valentine sets. Here I used the 4753- In The Air Set to make some sweet little matchbook valentine treats. Do you still have to make some last minute valentines? Just a few scored lines are needed to whip these up!

I stamped the cute skunk, colored him with Copics, and die cut with Sizzix Dotted Squares. Then I stamped another image on the inside to coordinate. The pocket inside was made with some old valentine paper in my stash from My Mind's Eye. I've used brads to attach the pocket before but I think I like the look of staples better. A thin strip of silver washi tape was added to the edge of the flap. A few heart enamel stickers by Recollections were added to finish it off. Just slip a Ghirardelli square inside and make someone smile. :)  Measurements for cutting and scoring can be found here.

I've never tried the Dark Chocolate Strawberry Ghirardelli before but I'd highly recommend them. ;)

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Love is in the Air! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a super sweet image from last Valentine's Day.
This set is called 4753 – In the Air Set.

I don't normally case cards and especially not for a DT post but I just fell in love with Mary's card and felt that layout would be perfect for Art Impressions sweet little skunk.

On the inside I used a verse from 4230 – Show the Love Set.

What special someone in YOUR life needs a card like this?

Love Is In The Air!

Howdy Ai Fans!
I wanted to share another Valentine's Day card with you! Today I am using the Art Impressions set called "Val". I have to say I think Val is one of my favourite Valentine themed stamps from Ai! He is just so cute and that expression on his face makes me grin every time!
For this card I wanted to try something a little different for the background. Instead of using scrapbook papers I decided to make the background myself! Using Tim Holtz Distess Inks, blending tools and a piece of watercolour paper, I used a circular motion and covered my piece of paper with the ink.
I made some ink splatters using the end of a paintbrush and various paint mediums in colours to match.

I used this sentient on the inside from the Ai "In The Air" set.

Did You Say Chocolate?

Hi Ai Fans!
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and the Art Impressions set called "Love and Chocolate" is perfect for the "chocoholics" in your life! My hubby loves chocolate and I always have to make sure we have some in the house. He doesn't necessarily eat it but He has to know it's there LOL.
I decided to use red cardstock and an embossing folder from Amy Tangerine called "Love Spun" to create my background. Then I used the SSS Ring frame and cut out a section on the background paper. I cut a second ring frame from pink paper and "inlaid"it into the background! Doodlebug's paper pad Sweetheart collection makes the perfect little circles for the ring frame! The sentiment from the "Love and Chocolate" set and a few enamel dots finish off my card front!
The inside sentiment is actually from the Ai "In The Air Set". I always like to decorate the inside of my cards too.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E17, E18
Top: R35, R37, R39
Pinks: RV23, RV25, RV29
Grey: T1, T3, T5
