To the Birthday Girl! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday, Art Impressions friends!

Tasha here, and today I’m sharing a birthday card inspired by the current Enjoy the Ride Challenge. Art Impressions has so many fun vehicle-themed stamps, but I’ve always been drawn to this vintage truck design. One of my favorite details is the open window, which makes the perfect spot to add a little character. I chose a gnome for this card because I can never resist a cute gnome!

To give the truck a birthday theme, I stamped a sweet little dog and a bunch of balloons in the truck bed. The balloon images fit perfectly and add a fun, festive touch to the scene.

For the sentiment, I used “To the Birthday Girl” from the 5735-Birthday Sentiment Set. I layered it onto gold glitter paper for a bit of sparkle, which really helps the greeting stand out.

To finish the card, I added layers of pink, cream, and yellow cardstock along with a floral patterned paper. I also used Copic markers to create a simple country road background that ties everything together and completes the design.

On The Road to Miami! by Mercy sauer

 Happy Thursday Crafter, Mercy here with a brand-new Challenge!....Wheelie Awesome! 

No really, that is the challenge...all about wheels/transportation...pretty fun!  

I went all out; I created the busiest card I've ever created!!!!

This card needed to be as big as possible, so I created a full size 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch slimline card. In my mind, I envisioned a very determined pale looking lady packing up, putting everything in the back of her truck and driving south to sunny Miami.

To ease the eyes and have a better transition between the two scenes, I left an empty space in the middle of the card. It’s almost like a pause button. I used many elements from other sets, very easy to combine them!
