Spring is already here too and need to clean our yard.

We are exbanding our house too so we are building in the evenings when we get the work. 

So not so much time to make cards and I almost forgot my posting day.

But here's one which I made before

This card is made with new finnish text stamp set.

You find them in english too at AI's shop

Just stamp the big one to patterned paper and cut outlines and attach with foam tape so you get 3D effect.

I'll add later some kind of tutorial about my coloring in my Girlfriends cards.

Aunt Lovell on the couch

I am going to try to make up for forgetting it was Tuesday last week by posting early.  Got to do it when I am thinking about it or something will distract me and whusshh...it's Wednesday already! Am I the only one that that happens to?
Last year I got certified in Copic markers and a whole new world opened up to me.  Love these markers and how well they work with the Art Impressions stamps.  They were made for each other!  Next month I am getting the opportunity to go to a new level.  Going to Columbus, Ohio for the Intermediate certification on May 13th. I am soooooo excited.
So here is a sample of Aunt Lovell on the Couch colored with Copic Markers. Thanks for looking...and if you like Copics or have a question...leave a comment and I will reply.

Third new girlfriend stamp set



I've colored this card with Distress Ink and Marvy Markers pen, once again.

I made framed card so the Girlfriends are inside the card. The umbrella is also attached with  3D foam tape.

Garden Birdhouse

Good morning Bloggers! With spring arriving and the songs of birds floating in the air I thought I would post this sample I did last year. I am in South Carolina and we are going to have a beautiful day.  The sun is shinning and the storm passed during the night so everything is freshly watered.  Hope you are able to get outside today and enjoy nature. Have a great day!

Garden Birdhouse

Recipe:

Art Impressions D-3550 Garden Birdhouse 

Art Impressions BB-2061 Small Vine

Art Impressions M-2312  Small Oval

Masquepen (masking fluid)

140# Cold Press watercolor paper

Rubber Cement pick-up eraser

Watercolor brush size 4-6

White plastic Palette

Ink D-3550 Garden Birdhouse using #45.  Pull color from lines using a damp brush.  Using the fine tip of #45 and ruler, draw post.  With damp brush pull color from lines.  Dab on masking fluid to areas where flowers will be placed.  Allow to dry thoroughly.  Mix #15 and water on palette and brush on green "cloud" around birdhouse.  Ink BB-2061 Small Vine using #15.  Stamp around Birdhous and soften with damp brush.  When dry, rub off masking fluid.  Brush in flowers using #20 Magenta and mix with small amount of water and picking up color off of palette.  Mix #43 Brilliant Yellow and brush in yellow centers to flowers.  Brush on color to birdhouse from palette using #20 Magenta and #8 Violet mixed with water.  With fine tip of #45 darken in doorways.

Hi, I have been so busy nowadays, that I got an idea to make card about it:) These Buzzards are quite sympathetic, and I like text fits well to this image. Misty moon is made using orange paper and glossy accents.

Center step card

Well, you might have seen this card before...

This week current challenge was... create shaped card. Here's the template, if you like to try it too.

It's very easy to make, I folded four or five cardstock before I got one right =) But it was worth of it. 

Notice: The measurements must be right.

If you like to make smaller card you find another template from here.

I color image with distress ink and use the inks from the bottle not from the pad. You can also use marvy markers and spread them with water and brush. Colors spread differently in different papers. I used Canson Montval aquarelle paper. Quality of the paper is the most important thing.

You should try different papers and find which one you like most.

First put the color to of the shadow lines and spread with water. Add more ink to the shadow lines if needed. Stir at least two colors together so you can get lifelike surface ( i used google translator, don't know what went wrong) =)

Easter card

These Chicks are great choose for the Easter card. You can colour them quickly, and aren´t they just so cute:) Text is also from Art Impressions, and you can find it here.

WOW...Now THAT'S a Mouthful!

And so are these darling stamps from ART IMPRESSIONS! Today, i will show you how to create a really cute and personalized card! you have a choice of what to put in these little guy's mouths... so the card can really reflect the fun personality of YOU or the occasion that it is meant for! I used the envelope and I added the 27 cent postage because that was out wedding date and I put it from Dawn (me) to David... my wonderful Hubby ... for our 14th anniversary... So here is how I made this darling card!

First, i stamped my images on Neenah Solar white paper with Pallette Hybrid ink. I love these two choices for the copic markers that I am going to use here.

Next, I colored the images and then cut them out to get them ready to assemble. i could have had my froggy holding the basket of flowers in his mouth and that would have been a wonderful little get well card... I added crystal effects to the sunglasses to make them shiny. 

Next on a piece of white paper, i made a setting for my frog. I sponged clouds and I punched out some grass so he would have some where comfy to sit!

Next, i used a craft knife to cut a slit for the mouth so he could hold my envelope! I put some 2 way glue on the back of this little guys mouth so he would not drop my letter!

And here is the finished card. I punched a hole in some paper and sponged the sun to keep my frog warm and added the flower basket. So make sure to check out the mouthfuls and see what you can create! There is a dog, a mouse a kitty and even a snowman! Thanks for popping in and have a wonderful day!
