Style Is Everything!

Hi Ai Fans!
Isn't Lovelle one HOT BABE!! Lovelle on the couch (#2618) is such a cute stamp to use and Ai has so many sentiment sayings that you could put with her! I chose to use "Style is everything" on the front as Lovelle is rockin' those glasses. She just makes me smile every time I see a picture of her!
The design of this card is really simple with paper from Bo Bunny's Zip-A-Dee-Doodle 6x6 collection with some layered cardstock. My card size is 4 x 5.5". I fussy cut Lovelle and paper pieced the couch using foam squares to adhere it to the card base.  I cut an extra cushion and popped it up with foam squares to add a bit more dimension.

On the inside I used another sentiment called "My Advice". Another great humorous sentiment from Art Impressions!

And now time for another challenge. Come join the fun!

Lets be honest--how many of us could make cards all day? Well here's your excuse! This challenge we want to see a set of cards! Lets see what Karen has been up to this week!

Hello Ai challenge fans!!  When I heard that we were making card sets for this week's challenge, I immediately thought of the Windows to the World collection of Art Impressions stamps, and came up with the idea of doing one for each season - so here are winter, spring, summer & fall:
Here are Lighthouse Window (Sku #M3175) and Christmas Village Window (Sku # M3184)
Here are Antiques Window (Sku #M4587) and Gazebo Window (Sku #M3174)
Whenever I make a set of cards as a gift, I like to make a little coordinating holder, so I made this fun little file folder that holds all four cards & their envelopes:
I started with a  10 1/2" x 6"piece of kraft cardstock, scoring it 4 1/2" in from each side; and I cut a curvy shape off each upper corner.  The base piece is 7" x 2 1/2", scored 2" up from the bottom, with 1/2" flaps scored to fold and glue it together:
Here it is decorated and ready to assemble (oh, and the best part is that all it takes is one piece of  8 1/2 x 11" cardstock and some scraps to decorate it:

So get crafting and show us your card sets!

Lovely, Karen! I'm loving the consistency between your cards, yet each is unique! Okay, now it's your turn to make! We want to see you create a set of at least three similar cards. They can be similar in style or color, have a theme, or use the same stamp....use your creativity! The key to a good card set is cohesion. Join the fun and add a photo to our InLinkz below!

hot java by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

I am not a coffee drinker but I have lots of friends who are.  The Ai Cathy Caffeine Set (4322) that I used on my card today is perfect for all those coffee lovers out there!  Even though I am not a fan of coffee, I still love this cute gal with her huge cuppa!  She's so cute!  I'll just pretend mine has tea or hot cocoa. lol.

I love to paper piece, especially clothing, so I had to give her a cute top.  ;)

Thanks for popping in…fuel up with some java and have a great day!

Sweet Treat by Dana Warren

Hello AI stampers!!

Dana here with a sweet card!! Everyone loves cupcakes and this card is perfect just because card to send a special person!!

I started with the Cupcake BFF stamp set and stamped the young girl on white card stock. Then i colored her up with Copic Markers. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set to the left of the image.

I squared up the card stock along the bottom and sides, then fussy cut the top third of the image. Next i found some Basic Grey pattern paper that i liked. I cut a big stitched rectangle that fit a white card base, then from a red pattern a smaller stitched rectangle.

After adding the green panel to my card base i added the small rectangle so i it would be just behind the girl and her cupcake. I used foam tape to adhered my image to the card base.

I thought about adding enamel dots, but sometimes less is more!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy stamping!!
