Cruisin By to Say Hi | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

It's Jessica. This week I'm dreaming of spring! This cute little bicycle reminds me of warmer weather and I thought it would be fun to create a one layer scene using it.

I'm using the Art impressions stamp sets Enjoy the Ride stamp set and the WC Mountain set. To start I stamped the bicycle on to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I used a Rectangle Double Stitch die  and a pencil to trace a rectangle frame for a window. Then used post it notes to easily mask off the frame and stamp the two mountains from the WC Mountain set. First stamping the pair of mountains on the right then masking with another post it note and stamping the other two mountains. I used Copic frindly ink for all my black ink stamping.

I started coloring with Copic markers. I'll have the list below of all the colors I used. I wanted a teal, gray, brown, and coral color combination for this card, with lots of white space. For the frame, I erased the pencil lines until they were almost to light to see and started sketching the frame in with a E35 Copic Marker. I started with the light tone so that I cold touch up any mistakes or unevenness with the the darkest tone marker. This took a bit of time but was easy enough. I did it this way because I didn't want to fussy cut the bicycle. 😊

For the Background I used a older brick stencil and Fired Brick distress ink. I didn't mask off anything at this point. Instead I used one of the smaller makeup blending brushes and took my time blending the ink around the frame and bicycle. Just be careful around your coloring, but I think this makes for a really cool fade look.

Then I added in the ground layer and shadows around and underneath the bicycle. Before I stamped the sentiment I did run this panel through my die cutting machine with the largest Rounded Rectangle double stitch die.

I stamped the sentiment with a pigment black ink and added a layer of gray cardstock to a A2 card base. Then popped up the colored panel with foam dimensional tape before layering that over the top.

Thank you so for joining me today! Happy Stamping.
