Find Your Broom! by Janet

Happy weekend Ai Fans! Today I've got a spooky but fun shaker card using several Ai products. This image comes from 5190 Fright Night Set. I stamped and colored it with Copic markers and colored pencils. I also stamped the bats in this set to the acetate window using StazOn ink. This trio is having a very wild ride indeed!

The spooky bat and sky cardstock is from the 5849 Halloween S2 Paper Pack. I really like this pack. The colors are traditional with great patterns sized perfectly for Halloween card making.

The orange webs and lavender spiders are from 5462 Web Dies Set. I cut the oval opening for the shaker window with the 5727 Nested Oval Dies. I layered two layers of foam tape behind the bat paper and filled the shaker window with a variety of multi-colored sequins and I added some ghost sequins as well. Shakers are one of my favorite cards to make. It's so fun to shake the card and see all the pretty and shiny bits inside.

Thanks for stopping by today. I invite you to stop by the store to see all the new releases for your card, journal, and tag making projects. Have a wonderful weekend!

Halloween Porch Party by Janet

I was so excited to see the new sets for the Front Porch Series! I have been waiting to show you the Halloween card I made with the newest set 5487 - Front Porch Halloween Set. I am a big fan of Halloween to begin with and this set doesn't disappoint. There are so many great Halloween images that can be used to decorate the main front porch stamp set 5512 - Front Porch Door Set.

I stamped the door with Versamark on dark gray cardstock and heat embossed it with green embossing powder. After cutting the door out, I placed orange and yellow glitter cardstock behind the windows and door. I then made the house background by cutting 1/2" strips of thin wood veneer and layering them like siding. I created a roof shape out of the veneer as well and cut the window out using the included die and then placed a stamped and colored window frame with orange glitter cardstock behind it.

I colored and cut out all the images in the set. I also cut several webs and a spider from the 5462 - Web Dies Set. I used yellow and blue glow in the dark Nuvo Drops on the porch light and the bodies of the spiders. It's so fun! I had to test it and of course the bugs and lantern glow yellow and blue. So cool!

Thanks for joining me here today for a fun Halloween card. I hope I've inspired you to start thinking about making your little goblins Halloween cards of their own. The Front Porch Line is waiting for you at the store!

Wishing you a very crafty day!
