Joyful snowmen

We had our first real snowfall today so I have
winter on my mind.  My card goes along with that.
and Tiny Snowflakes on my card.

I've used a Spellbinders Grand Label die to make

Fir Trees

Hi Everyone,
Barbara here with another of my Wednesday Creations. This card came about because a few of my friends are going to a cabin in the Tennessee woods for a weekend of fun and hiking. And that got me thinking..... hmm....They will be out in the forest, a forest with some fir trees and before I knew it I had made this card.

I wanted to use a card shape that was just a little different so I used this labels shape die and since it is so large, I folded it in half. It makes a nice thinner card (6 3/4"X3 1/2"), Next I stamped on the other label shape, layered it on the front, and was just a perfect fit. The flourishes add the finishing touch.
Supplies I used:
G3237 - Mountain Fir (Smaller version of the Large Mountain Fir)
Copic Markers - E33
Inks: Fresco Chalk Finish Dye inks: Indigo Velvet, Giovanni's Garden, Medici Marble
Card Stock - White CS, Green Parchment looking CS
Swirl - Sizzix Die
Glitter - Parisian Mist
Card Shape - Spellbinders Grand Labels One, Layered shape - Spellbinders Labels Four

Don't forget to stop back Thursday for the next weekly challenge, it's going to be another fun one!!!

I don't do Mornings...Note Book!

Well I can't believe it is Tuesday again.  I hope you all had a great week.  I decided to do something a little different this week.  I went to Michaels and purchases an inexpensive little note book and I altered it.  I used one of my favorite stamps....Maude I-1238 and my window is Q1502, both can be found HERE!  I covered the outside with cardstock, I used a strong adhesive and Tacky glue to hold it in place.  I inked the edges slightly, made a swirl and followed through  by adding dots and squiggles around the edge, a polka dotted ribbon and dots on the wall paper.  I used an exacto knife to cut out the windows and opened them slightly and placed Maude behind the window....I keep all my Art Impressions notes in my new little book.  My ribbon is loose on the inside and can be used as a page marker. I used Prisma Pencils and OMS to color my images. These make a nice little gift to give someone as a Thank you!

Happy Birthday Friend

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  I needed a Birthday card for a friend of mine who just turned 80 yrs. and I choose this image call Flo (#I 1165) from the Golden Oldies series because she so reminds me of Ruth.
I have used Prismas and OMS to color my image.  I have popped Flo up to give a bit of dimension and added a brad in each corner. Very simple card, but isn't she cute!!!  Check HERE to see all the Golden Oldies, they all have so much character that you can't help falling in love with them.
