Spring Chicken by Cheri Burry!

Hi Ai Fans!
Thanks for stopping by today to see my card using the Art Impressions "Birdie & Egg Carton" image! The Chickens in the Ai "Bird Brain" line always make me giggle! They just have so much attitude and there are some funny sentiments that you can pair with them!

I decided to cut a chicken wire overlay for my design paper with a Silhouette Studio cut file to go with "Birdie". Then using a speech bubble I added my sentiment. The sentiment is called "Spring Chicken". What I did was cut the stamp in half with my scissors and used the other piece on the inside of my card. A few enamel dots finish everything off.
Here you can see the second half of the "Spring Chickien" sentiment.
Copics Used:
Chicken: C0, C1, C2, C3/ R24, R29/ YR15, YR18
Egg Carton: E40, E41, E42
Cup: YG93, YG95, YG97

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Jil is here to share her first project with the Flamingo Wiggle Wobble with a bit of tropical fun! This is a great quick photo tutorial for creating your first Wiggle Wobble card!

Hello Ai fans!

I placed the flamingo stamps into my Mini Misti and stamped them onto Strathmore Bristol 140 lb. paper with Jet Black Archival Ink.  I needed to stamp second impressions of both leg parts and the wing.

I used the matching die cuts with my die cut machine to cut out all of the parts.  Tip: Be careful to align the holes for the brads.

I colored the flamingo using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush.
Flamingo - Light Pink, Carmine Pink
Beak - Light Gray, Gray
Glasses - Light Cobalt

I added a Black Glaze pen to her eyes. Then I assembled the flamingo with brads. This is what she looks like finished.

I added a very simple watercolor scene to the background onto a piece of Strathmore 140 lb. Watercolor Paper. I added in a horizon line using Tropical 101 & blended out some color onto my Ai Watercolor Palette to add more Tropical marker below the horizon line with my #4 WC Brush.  I then added Tombow marker 912 to my  Ai Watercolor Palette and blended it below the water. Next, I went above the horizon line and stamped the clouds from the Watercolor EZ Project B.  I scribbled Magenta 20Steel Blue 17 and Tombow marker 565 to my  Ai Watercolor Palette. One at a time, I applied each color to the sky using my #4 WC Brush

I used some DCWV papers I had in my scrap drawer to complete the card. As I was putting the finished flamingo onto the card, I added her onto the included action wobble and watched her dance around.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

The Road to a Friend's house...

Hello Ai fans!

I love making interactive cards so I have quite a few from the Try Fold line. Sometimes I want to use the images separate and I'm always looking for new ways to do this.  I saw an idea a year or so back to use one of the images stamped in the background while coloring just one main image as your focal image.  I just can't remember where I saw it.  I've been meaning to try the idea. I used two images from the Cottage TF Set 4202 and stamped them onto Strathmore 140 lb. paper with Jet Black Archival Ink. The background layer is stamped with Shadow Grey Archival Ink.

I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush to paint the images.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

NEW VIDEO - Flowering Wreath

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome to a new Watercolor Wednesday with Bonnie! This week, Bonnie shows you how to create a beautiful, blooming wreath with vines, flowers, buds, and branches! To start, she creates a 3" circle with quadrant lines in pencil so she can create a repeating pattern around the wreath. She starts with the vine from our Spring Basket Set in Pine Green and then again in Tropical around the circle. She then adds the flowers from our Chest of Flowers Set between the vines in Aubergine, then softens the image with water. Next, Bonnie adds berries from our new WC Fall Set, inking the buds with Violet and stem in Pine Green. To finish the wreath, she adds a large branch from our new WC Branches Set in Tropical. She erases the pencil lines and adds the sentiment from our WC Sentiment set.

Make sure to sign your beautiful work of art! If you liked this wreath project, leave a comment on the video, so Bonnie knows to make more videos like this! We always appreciate a thumbs up and when you subscribe, too! Have a wonderful week and Happy Watercolor Wednesday!
