Challenge 158 - "April Showers Bring May Flowers!" Week Two!

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome to week two of our "April Showers Bring May Flowers" challenge!

If you missed it last week, we launched our BRAND NEW Ai Watercolor Mini Projects! We have 6 new unmounted stamp sets available that are made to be a great starting point or addition to your collection!

Now to week two of our challenge!

This week, we want to see those beautiful flowers that should be blooming! We've had rain off and on here in Oregon and we're enjoying the beauty that keeps popping up everywhere! For this challenge, include some flowers and feel free to join in our Watercolor fun!

Needs Glasses by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends!

 

This week I created a card with the Celeste Set (4326).  She cracks me up with her attitude!  I couldn't help but to paper piece the scene in fun, colorful prints to match her personality...

 

It doesn't show in the pic but I added some Crystal Lacquer to the drink in her hand so it looks like glass.

Celeste is a fun image to create with and she's sure to bring a smile!

The Queen by Dana Warren

Hi Ai fans!!

Dana here with a card fit for royalty!! Hehe!! I used The Queen Set from the new Vintage collection and paired her up with some gold pattern paper!! 

I started by stamping her on some white card stock, i colored her arms and hair with Copic markers. Then i stamped her again on some pink pattern paper and again on some white card stock. I cut out the collar and cuffs from the white card stock and then cut her dress out of the pattern paper.

I cut my colored image with a square die, then adhered the dress pieces. Next i added the white collar and cuffs, so you get a bit of dimension with all the layers without using foam tape!

The pattern paper i am using all comes from the same paper pad, Blush Glam by Craft Smith. I cut a pink strip and added it to the cut rectangle, then added some pink twine that i tied in a knot. 

For the card base i added a white and gold pattern, it is so shiny!! I added The Queen panel to the card base with foam tape. Then i cut a small rectangle and stamped the sentiment (an awesome sentiment by the way!!), that got added to the card with foam tape.

Hello Ai fans!

Today is a perfect day to look fabulous!  As we are know that the Ai ladies are certainly a pro at it.  :)  And of course, Celeste is not an exception.
