Pamper Your Shelf Tri-fold Card -By Crystal

Hi Ai fans!

Hope your week is going great I can't believe how fast this summer has flown by. This week I made a card that reminds me school will be back in session soon for my girls at least. We get out early for summer so we start early. Some schools might still have a month of summer left.

For my card this week I used the Pamper Your Shelf stamp set. This set reminds me a lot of my two kids the are always reading.

This was a really simple card. I wanted to watercolor the image in so I made my card base out of watercolor card stock. I stamped the images in with Vesafine black ink. Versafine black ink will not smear with water you do need to be careful to let it dry or heat set it so you don't smudge it.

I took Spectrum Noir aqua markers and scribbled them down onto my glass mat and picked the color up with a water brush to color the images in. The sentiment that comes in this set is cute "Pamper your-shelf".

I love once you open the whole card you see the little mouse sitting on a stack of books reading. It's just so adorable. I kept this card super simple only focusing on the stamped image. I really like how this card came out I was a little worried I wouldn't like it in the end because of how simple it was.

Farm Fresh Tri-Fold Birthday Card- By Crystal

Hi Ai fans!

This week I played with the Produce Stand MTF stamp set.

I stamped, colored and fussy cut the images out. I used the coordinating dies from the stamp set to die cut the awning and the window out. I trimmed a  piece of white card stock down to 3"X 9". I then scored 3" in on either side to make a square 3" tri-fold card.

I die cut the window to match the spots I attached the other die cut pieces.
That little raccoon sitting on his stool eating a watermelon is just too cute.

I die cut a double stitched 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" rectangle and adhered it to a card base. Stamped Happy Birthday onto a banner on the front of the card. I adhered the tri-fold card to the card base centered in the middle but towards the top.

Farm Fresh Fruit Stand Card!

Happy Fourth of July Ai fans!

This week I played with the tri-fold Produce Stand stamp set. I stamped everything with Memento black ink and colored everything in with Spectrum Noir markers. After I colored everything in I fussy cut the images out and ran them though my die cutting machine with the coordinating dies that come with the stamp set.

Look at that cute little raccoon peaking out through all of the layers.

I just traced the opening with a pencil for the card base and the pattern paper and ran them through my die cutting machine with the same coordinating dies that came with the set.

This is a view of the middle layer and the bottom layer.

When you get all of the way inside of the card you see the raccoon sitting on a wood stool eating a slice of watermelon he is just the cutest.

Hello Friend Notecard by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!  I have a sweet notecard I made using the pretty Hello Friend Mini Tryfold set.

When I use a stamp set that's been out a while and has been used so beautifully by others, I like to challenge myself to make it a bit differently.  I did that with this one by stamping each image on a separate piece of Bristol Smooth card stock and colored each one using various Zig Clean Color and Marvy LePlume II markers (listed below).

Have you seen the new dies by Art Impressions?  They are fabulous!!  I used the new Circle Double Stitched dies to cut out each image.  For the front image I used the largest die. I used the second largest for the middle image and the next size down for the third image.

Before adhering the cut out images, I used a background stamp and stamped it on each panel of a Tryfold Card.  I cut the Tryfold Card down to be 4-½ inches tall.   Once you have your images positioned onto the card, you will need to take the dies that come with the Hello Friend set and place it onto the previous cutout and run it back through your die cutting machine.

I also used the Circle Stitched dies to create frames for the images.  I just temporarily taped two of the circle dies together and die cut them to make the frames.

This is what you see when the first panel is opened

And finally, your view when the card is totally open.  Here I used two of the sweet birds from the Watercolor Birds set and stamped in the same blue ink for a little extra touch.

Here is a close up of all the beautiful detail in this set.  I used a Signo Uni-Ball white gel pen to add details to the purple flowers.

I hope this has inspired to to give the Mini Tryfolds a try!  We are so glad you stopped by today!  Thank you!  Happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Card By Crystal Schneider

Hello AI fans!

This week I played with the Birthday Circlet 4980 stamp set and used a White Try-Folds card base.

When I started with my card I was not sure what direction I was going in so I stamped all three images on white cardstock with Memento black ink. I colored all of the images in with alcohol markers. I used a circle die to cut all of the images out.

I die cut the images first with the dies that come with the stamp set then I traced the card base and ran that through my die cutting machine to cut the card base. After all of the pieces of my card were die cut I started to glue everything together.

For the inside of the card I adhered a piece of pattern paper, my colored image, and a decorative border.

The next two layers I adhered pattern paper, colored image and border.

I wanted my card to be bright happy and fun so I used lots of fun patterned paper to add lots of color to the card.

Cat Crazy by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

It's no big secret that I love cats.  I have a few cats, but there are still days that I feel like this lady.  There are days when my cats all want of my attention.  No matter how many times I look at this image, I still laugh at it! Today, I used Cat Lady TF 4340.  It's part of the TryFold collection, but I kept it as a one layer card.  I like to use the TryFold images in many different ways than they were first intended.  It stretches out the life and value of your stamps.

I started by stamping all three parts of the stamp set onto Canson XL Watercolor paper with Jet Black Archival ink. I used my Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils and the fine tip Tim Holtz water brush to add color to my images.  I pulled color directly from the tip of my pencil with the tip of my water brush.  I added it to my image starting in the darker areas and spreading the colors out.  I added two layers of color.  Once everything was dry, I can in and added in shadows with my Prismacolor colored pencils.  I used Gamsol and a blending stump to spread out the pencils. I used a black glaze pen on all of the open eyes to add shine. The background of the card is patterned paper for the from American Crafts Cedar Lane 6x6 paper pack. I fussy cut out all three of the images and added them to the background with different heights of foam tape.  I added the greeting onto a string and "hung" it on a brad to make it look like a picture.

Watercolor Pencils Used:
Face - Burnt Ochre, Burnt Carmine for blush
Cats - Cool IV, Black, Burnt Ochre, Burnt Umber
Brown furniture - Walnut Black
Blue- Prussian Blue
Red - Madder

Prismacolor colors used:
Sienna Brown, 945, French Grey 70% 1074, Yellow Ochre 942

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Garden TF by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I am sharing a spring Try-fold card today using Garden TF (Sku #4203)
This is such a gorgeous stamp set - and so versatile!  This would make a great birthday card, Mother's Day card or even an Easter card wtih that sweet little bunny on the front image - and I really love the sentiment.
All the instructions to create a Try-fold card are included with the stamp set.  After stamping and colouring with Copic markers, I lined the back sides of the flaps with some polka dot paper, and mounted my card on it as well.  You can find all of the Ai Try-fold stamp sets here.
 Copics used: Blues - B01, B00, B000, B000
Greens - YG05, YG03, YG01, YG00, YG95, YG93, YG91
Greys - W5, W3, W1, W00
