Gotta Garden | Double Z Fold Card by Janet Axtman

 

Hi everyone! Janet here today with a video tutorial for a fancy fold card. It's called a Double Z Fold. I had fun making this especially since I haven't done a fancy fold in a while. As with most card folds, this one has a lot of flexibility and looks depending on the patterns, colors and embellishments used.

On my card, the happy gardening gents and accessories are from the 5000 Gotta Garden stamp set. It has several really fun gardening images and gardening sentiments. I colored the guys with Copic markers. The colors used are detailed at the end of this post.

Sewing Themed Friendship with Drapery Technique by Janet

 

Hello Ai Fans! Today's card features another use for the uber cute Sewing Room Matchbook set from Ai. I thought it would be fun to use a fancy fold to build on the sewing theme so I've mixed the stamps and dies with a drapery fold and some stitched looking cardstock on this card. This is just perfect for a friend of mine who loves to sew!

I colored the sewing machine and shelf images using my Copic markers. Colors used are:

Sewing Machine: BV60, BV31, BV23

Sewing Cabinet, Shelf and Cloth: E50, E53, E57, YR02, YR04, C7

Thread Rolls: YR04, YR09, B00, B06, G21, G94, C7

For The Grill Master! Hats Off Mr. by Janet

Hello everyone. It's Janet and today I have a fun fold card featuring the new Hat's Off Mr. Stamp and Die Set. If you struggle with masculine cards like most people, this set is the answer to your crafting prayers! It's a must have for your card or scrapbook making collection. 

This set includes many different hats and accessories to decorate the character for hunting, fishing, handyman and cooking themes. I had Father's Day in mind when I made this one but all the themes can be used for birthdays, thank you cards and all occasions when something special for a guy is needed.

I used Copic Markers to color the Mr. and his accessories. I embellished it by adding stubble, a pattern in his shirt and athletic socks. You can choose to enhance the stamped image as much or as little as you want.
