Spooky Holiday Mansion by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai fans!

I had so much fun turning the Holiday Mansion into a spooky (but not too spooky!) Halloween card!  I used the Halloween pieces from the HM Accessory Set to make this card!

All of the images were stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80# paper with Copic safe ink.  I colored them all with the Copics listed below.  Then I used the included dies to cut them out.  There isn't a die for the house, but it's so easy to fussy cut, which I did!

I cut a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth to 4" x 5-¼".  I die cut a circle shape and added positioned the mask where it would be behind the house.  I blended on some Distress Oxide inks with blender brushes.  The colors I used are Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot for the sky.  I added some water drops and then blotted them up with a dry paper towel after a few seconds.  Then I added white spatters with some slightly diluted white gauche using a paint brush.   The ground is Peeled Paint and Forest Moss with a bit of Black Soot around the edges.  I removed the mask for the moon and added Fossilized Amber to it.  I used a couple of light gray Copics to add the moon craters.

This little monster behind the door just makes me smile!!  For the windows I used some vellum and stamped the googly eyes and spider webs onto it with StazOn black ink.  I used a white gel pen on the reverse side and colored in the white of the eyes.  On the left window, I filled in around the eyes with a black pen.  After I glued the vellum pieces behind the openings, I added some thin foam tape to the back of the house and attached it to the background.

The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I die cut it out with a die from the Flag Double Stitched Dies.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!

Lil' Spooky Monsters and Ghosts! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a Halloween card that I made using
4927 – HM Accessory Set
from the Holiday Mansion series.

This set contains both Halloween and Christmas accessory stamps that are meant to embellish the beautiful Holiday Mansion.  I just decided to let them venture a little outside the box this time.

Holiday Mansion by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!
Today I'm sharing the Art Impressions Holiday Mansion and HM Accessories.
I also used the Ai Snowflake Dies.

I fell in love with Diane's idea to use a tea light behind the mansion and just had to give it a try.
Since she made a Halloween card I thought I'd make a Christmas version.
You can see her card I was inspired by HERE.

I used an acetate card base so that the tea light would glow more.  I liked feeling like the house was set in it's yard and you could see the front and back yards making it more dimensional.

Open the front door and you see the verse.

Here's the inside.

I also made a coordinating gift box with some more of the HM Accessories.

One little pointer if you decide to try something like this. I wanted the house to be all silver because I thought it was festive.  You can't see the lines enough for them to matter but you can see them enough to bug me...Next time I'll probably stamp the image on cardstock first.  Then I'll cut it out and use it as a template to cut out the specialty paper.

Holiday Mansion by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
Have you seen the fabulous Holiday Mansion Set (Sku #4926) that Art Impressions released this summer??  It is the most brilliant idea to have a sweet little house that comes with shutters and a full set of dies to cut out the window panes, and two doors on hinges:
How cute is that??  The other brilliant part of this set... is that there is a companion set of stamps & dies called HM Accessory Set (Sku #4927).  If you notice the tree, wreath, bells, reindeer & Santa - these are part of the accessory set, each designed to peek out from between or behind the windows and doors.
After stamping and colouring with Copic markers, I positioned all the dies on both the house and all the accessories.  One quick pass through my Cuttlebug, and everything was cut out and ready to assemble.  I added some Stickles to sparkle up the snow a little, and added some sparkle to the background as well.  The sign was created by cutting it out from a piece of patterned paper.  Here is one of the sentiments that comes with the set that I added to the inside:
Now - what I haven't mentioned yet, is that these are only 1/2 of the accessories that come in the set - a whole set of Halloween images (ghosts, pumpkins, boarded up windows, monsters) mean that you can colour the mansion completely differently to make a spooky haunted house.  I love when you can get an entirely different look from the same stamp set.  Head on over to the Ai website to pick up your own Holiday Mansion!
Copics used - Pinks R85, R83, R81
Reds - R37, R35, R32
Blues - B02, B01, B00, B000, B0000
Greens - G63, G61
Yellows - Y26, Y23, Y21, E50
Greys - C5, C3, C1
Browns - E55, E53, E51

very merry Christmas by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Last week I shared a Halloween card with this same house image but today I am sharing a Christmas card using the Ai 4926- Holiday Mansion Set and 4927- HM Accessory Set.  If you haven't started your holiday cards, it's a good time to start thinking about them!  I like to make a few here and there, all year long, but this year I haven't followed that plan very well. lol.  I did create this sweet holiday house, though.

Here's a little tip...if you stamp an extra house and trim it a bit smaller (cutting off the chimney), then flip it over and use the backside, you can place it behind your finished house image so the background paper doesn't show through.

The little Christmas images from the 4927- HM Accessory Set were added in the windows and doors.  I decided to place the tree in the yard instead of a window.  You can move the pieces to wherever you want!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Halloween mansion with tea light by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a Halloween card using the Ai 4926- Holiday Mansion Set, 4927- HM Accessory Set, and 4784- Old Bat Set (for the moon!).

When we were making samples of the new releases for display at the trade show, I was asked if I could make a Halloween version of the mansion in an easel type card with a battery operated tea light behind it.  What a fun challenge!

Since the mansion is quite tall, I kept the normal size of the card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  To create the base for it to sit on, I added a piece of 4 1/4 x 9 inch cardstock, scored at 5 1/2.  The 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 section of this piece was layered onto the card back (I just doubled the thickness of it).  The smaller section folds to the inside when closed and has the die cut wooden boards image popped up to hold the card front when the card is opened.

To create tinted windows and an eerie glow inside, I sponged purple ink onto both sides of a piece of vellum.  The windows and doors of the mansion were diecut and then it was held in place on the front with temporary tape so the openings could be traced. Once it was removed, the dies were lined up and cut a second time through the front layers.  The vellum was adhered to the back of the mansion and then the mansion was lined back up to the diecut openings on the card base.

Smaller elements from the 4927- HM Accessory Set were added and the moon is from the 4784- Old Bat Set.  Additional images and a sentiment were placed on the inside, along with the tea light.

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!
