Happy Fall! Card by Tasha

 Happy Friday Art Impressions friends!  

Tasha here sharing a Fall themed card featuring the fun 5507-Harvest Together Set and the new 6255-FG Sunflower Border Set. I love sunflowers, and when I saw the new sunflower border stamp, I immediately thought it would work perfectly with the lady scarecrow from the Harvest Together Set. I just love all the flowers!

To created this card, I started by stamping the front sunflowers. After, I used masking paper to mask the flowers and bottom of the card before stamping the scarecrow and birdhouse. I used Copic Markers for the coloring and tried to use Fall colors; the blues, yellows, and pop of purple look awesome together!

After the images were colored, I added clouds and a "Happy Fall Y'all" greeting. I also attached layers of metallic red, brown, white, and orange cardstock to coordinate with the colors used on the flowers. Lastly, I added a piece of plaid pattern paper in a light tan color and cut a scalloped frame to complete the design.

Hi Ai fans! 

Fall is almost over but its my favorite season so I needed to get in a couple more fall cards. This week I used this Happy Fall set 4525. I think this scarecrow is adorable. I stamped him twice onto watercolor cardstock with Memento black ink. 

For my first card I colored the cute little scarecrow with Arteza Brush markers. I then fussy cut the image out. I had been playing with stencil backgrounds so I had this one on my desk I stamped the sentiment onto a banner and adhered it to the stenciled background. 

I then adhered the scarecrow covering up part of the banner. I trimmed a piece of Kraft cardstock just a little bit smaller then my card base so their would be just a small white border peaking out around the edges. 

To finish the card off I adhered the stencil background to the kraft paper with fun foam. Then added a few black Nuvo drops. 

 For the second card I did not fussy cut the image out I kept it on the cardstock and added color around the edges and pulled it out with a water brush to soften the background. I matted the image onto some pattern paper and adhered to a card base. 

To add some dimension and interest to a rather flat card I added a twine bow with a couple leaves. I also have been adding Nuvo drops to all of my cards right now so of course I added a few of those.

Hi AI Fans! 

Fall has finally gotten here! Time to pull out all of my warm sweaters and fussy socks. 

This week I played with the Happy Fall set 4525 I fell in love with this one right away! This little scarecrow is too cute. I stamped him with black Memento ink so I could color him in with alcohol markers but I think next time I will color him in with water colors. 

Before I colored him in I masked him off so I could add some color to the background. I added some sunset colors I wanted it to look like he was sitting outside on a nice fall evening with the sun setting behind him.

I used Art Impressions new Rectangle Double Stitched dies to cut my colored page out and for the pattern paper. 

Added a little twine for a little detail and added the sentiment with foam tape so it would sit nicely over the twine.

I kept this card really simple I wanted the focus to be on the adorable little scarecrow.

Hello Ai Fans!

My cards today features the Happy Fall set with the MOST adorable and sweet scarecrow ever!  I don't know how I've missed seeing this set in the past--I just had to have it when I saw it!

I used this set and just one other stamp to create this first card!

This stamp is a rubber stamp and my original intentions were to stamp and color him with my alcohol markers.  I had a last-minute change of mind and stamped it onto watercolor paper.  I used just a handful of Marvy LePlume II markers to water color him.  The colors I used are listed below.

I used the tiny grass from the WC Foliage Set 1 and stamped a bit of grass below the image.  I used my black Micron 005 pen to add some details to the patches.  After the coloring was done, I die cut the image with a new Art Impressions Square Double Stitched die.  I used the same die set to cut out the stamped sentiment that's included in the set.  Then I used some brown and orange card stock to create the layers and added it to the patterned paper.

My next card is in similar colors, but I colored it with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.



While I was coloring this one, I seriously didn't realize that I was picking almost the very same colors as the water colored one!  Blues and greens are surely my two favorite colors!  This one is embellished with a sentiment and stamped leaves from my stash.



It's so easy to create an super sweet card with just a few supplies!  A great way to use papers from your stash too!  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope your week is off to a great start!

Happy Fall Set by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!

It's September already!  And while I never want to wish away the summer... I adore the fall!  And a new season always means a fresh new crafting theme - warm, rustic colours and fall themed papers!  I was inspired to make a card with this sweet scarecrow - the set is called Happy Fall Set (Sku #4525):

 I stamped him and the sentiment on some cream card stock, then coloured the image with my Copic markers.  I used some stitched dies to cut them out, then mounted the image with an off-kilter patterned square underneath.  I matted the sentiment and adhered it with pop dots.

 I hope you pull out those fall papers and get working on some warm, rustic projects, too!  Our current challenge is Off Kilter!  We want to see your angled panels - hope you can join us.

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather and get ready for Halloween.

Are you planning for a Halloween party?  Or better yet, how about a Fall dance?  Hehe!

I'm sharing a card featuring this pair of adorable couple called Square Dancers!  I'm sure they will be the stars of your party!

I colored this super fun couple with Copic markers and I distressed the edges with distress ink pad in tea dye.  And I finished up with a 'Happy Fall' sentiment from the Happy Fall set.

Happy New Year!

The Design Team were asked to post their top 3 Designs that we created for 2014. This was easy for me as I have only been here since October LOL.
