Piles of Smiles by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today I am sharing a bubbly card design featuring the 4738 - Duck Stackers Set, which is part of Ai's Stacker collection. This project is perfect for Ai's current challenge, "Zoo Crew", as it features a pile of adorable ducks! For more details on how I created this interactive slider card keep reading below.

Before we get to the crafty details, I wanted to let you all know this is my last post as a DT member. I have enjoyed sharing all of my wonderful projects with you and will miss you dearly. Remember, you can always find me on my personal blog where I will still share new Ai projects occasionally.

First, I used the Slider Die to create the 2" x 5" frame for the pull tab mechanism. Next, I traced the open space of the frame onto the white cardstock so I could line all the ducks within the opening.

I stamped the image and colored the ducks with Copic markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this post. Once I finished coloring the image, I used tear tape to attach the slider frame to the backside of cardstock with the ducks on it.

I made the pull tab 1 7/8" wide and 5 1/4" tall. I used a bubble stencil with Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide inks to create the background on the front panel and on the pull tab. Once the ink dried, I stamped the "Pull Here" sentiment and arrow onto the top of the pull tab in black pigment ink. The pull tab moves easily within the slider frame.

Next, I die cut the front bubble panel with the 3 3/4" x 5" Rectangle Double Stitched Die. I matted the die cut rectangle with teal and yellow cardstock to create the A2 sized card front. I used foam tape to attach the stitched panel to the card front to create extra dimension and to make it easier to grab the pull tab.

Then I used the teal cardstock again to die cut a circle from the Circle Double Stitched Dies set large enough to fit the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

To finish the card I added iridescent embellishments to coordinate with the bubble background. I just love how this interactive card turned out! So cute!

Hope you enjoyed my crafty inspiration!

Retreat Packing List by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Happy Monday! Today, I am sharing a quick and easy project featuring the new 5502- Craft Bag and Die Set. I don't know about you but I LOVE checklists when traveling, so I decided to make a check list for a crafting retreat!

This check list was super easy to make using the Bullet feature in Microsoft Word. You can either type your crafting essentials into the list before you print or you can write it out by hand after printing.

The Craft Bag set was the perfect accent piece for this checklist as it reminds me of all my favorite craft supplies such as various glues, coloring mediums, scissors, rulers, etc.

Wish Big with a Flying Pig by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a interactive card design featuring the 4975 - Pig Flutter Set. The fun set is part of Ai's Flutter Series. This project is also perfect for Ai's current challenge, "Up, Up, & Away", as it features a pig with wings in the sky! For more details on how I created this comical card keep reading below.

To create the background I used a cloud stencil with Broken China Distress ink. Once the panel was dry, I die cut the center section with the Rectangle Double Stitche Die Set to help cover the flutter mechanism. At the bottom of the pull tag I stamped "pull here" so the recipient understands how to work the interactive component.

The adorable piggy was colored with Copic markers. I used R02 and the YR00's for the skin and I used RV00's for the snout and hooves. I used foam tape to attach him the the card making sure to avoid the pull tab mechanism.

Next, I added glitter enamel dots in the clouds to make the card even more magical!

To finish the card I heat embossed the "Wish Big!" sentiment , which is also from the Pig Flutter Set, with white embossing powder onto a Circle Double Stitched die cut. I used liquid adhesive to attach the circle to the card front.

I used my Copic markers to color the adorable Easter bunnies and chick. I used foam tape to attach the images to the card front. To fill the negative space on the card front, I added yellow enamel dots.

This Easter project is perfect for Ai's current challenge "Here Comes Peter Cottontail," as it features a family of adorable rabbits. Keep reading below for details on how I made this creation.

To create the layered burrow scene, I used the Stitched Den die set from Lawn Fawn. I used purple plaid paper to create the "wallpaper" inside the burrow, and I used distressed tan paper to create the dirt floor. To create the woodsy design on the front panel I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink in a swiping motion to create the streaks across the cardstock.

To finish the card I die cut the sentiment banner with the Flag Double Stitched Dies set. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder making in ink resistant to the ombre ink blending on the banner. I used Peacock Feathers Distress ink to create the shading on the banner.

Nurses Call the Shot by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a female-empowered card featuring the Proud Nurse Set. I decided to base this card for the "Take the Cake" challenge on my sister who is a nurse. Keep reading below for more details on this creation.

I used Candied Apple and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks to create a ombre background on light pink cardstock. Next, I used Opal Deco Foil with a retired X Stencil to create the overlay. The Opal Deco Foil was a little more translucent than I expected so I used white acrylic paint to add a little more contrast to the background.

I used the Banner Double Stitched Die Set to create the sentiment banner. The shot image and sentiment were stamped in embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The nurse is colored with Copic alcohol markers. The colors I used are listed below. To finish the card I added blue-green enamel dots to coordinate with the nurses scrubs.

Oceans of Love by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing an aquatic card that is for the "Oceans of Fun" challenge! This card features the Submarine Cubbies stamp set which is part of the Critter Cubbies collection. Keep reading below for details on how I made this under the sea creation.

The background was created with a Bubbles stencil (retired) and Mermaid Lagoon, Villainous Potion, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks on aqua cardstock. I also used white acrylic paint to create the splatter look on the background to give it a layered water bubbles look.

Next I used a fun abstract bubbles die cut to give the card even more of an under water feel. I used liquid adhesive to glue the die cut to the card front.

This card features the adorable critters from the Submarine Cubbies set all colored with Copic markers. I used mini foam squares to attach all these fun critters to the front of the card so that they are overlapping the bubbly die cut.

The sentiment is also from the Submarine Cubbies set and is stamped in pigment black ink onto a green Double Stitched Circle die cut. I used a foam square to attach the sentiment to the card as well.

For the last finishing touches I used clear enamel dots to add embellishment to the card.
