Awesome Possum Birthday Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card created with the sweet 5282-Possum Set from Art Impressions!

I just love possums and thought this cutie with the balloon would look super adorable surrounded by rainbow clouds. I stamped the ballon directly on the card and layered the possum to look like he was floating. He looks so happy with his party hat!

The greeting "Have an Awesome Possum Birthday" was stamped with a red ink to match the balloon. I also added a glittery frame around the sentiment to bring in tons of sparkle!

Lastly, I added layers of bright cardstock and a yellow polka-dot pattern paper before adhering the card to a light pink card base. Th pastel colors are perfect for spring and I love the soft fluffy clouds in the background!

Hello AI Fans!!

Happy Weekend!!  My card today features the cutest little critters!!  It's #5282 Possum Set from the Funny Farm Line at Art Impressions.  I just colored him up with Copics and cut him out with my scissors. I popped him up on a background I made using distress oxide inks and a cloud die I used as a stencil.

Possum Shutter Card plus Video by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Possum stamp set as the star of this fun Shutter Card.  I looks like a simple gate fold card on the front, but when you open it, the camera shutter opens to reveal another Possum on the inside.

 I started by stamping the possum image onto a piece of Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Paper that was cut with the Square Double Stitched Dies.  I then colored the image with Copic markers.  The colors I used are listed at the end of this post.  I also colored the single image and fussy cut it out.

The center of the card is made to resemble a camera shutter.  I found a video on how to make it and I followed the directions to make this card.  I used the Echo Park Happy Birthday Girl 6" x 6" paper pad.  I used the Circle Double Stitched dies for the center cuts.  I filmed a video of my making this card.  I haven't done video's in quite a while, so it's quite unrefined. 

The base card is cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  The inside piece is cut to 5 1/2" x 3". The two side pieces are cut to 4" x 3 1/2".

This week is Niccole's turn to have some fun with our Possum Set!

Hello!!

I am here to share a card for the Art Impressions Animals & Nature Challenge. 

I am using the new Possum Set.
As you can see above I used the three possum swinging on a branch with the funny sentiment "Another Birthday? Hang in there."

I started by Copic coloring my possum image.  I fussy cut it out and had a black die cut frame from a different project for my frame. 

I framed my white card stock with my purple tape so that once my frame was added you would not be able to see my clouds that were stenciled on. I used some blue ink to emulate a cloudy sky for the swinging possum background.

These next few images are more hints to make things easier, well at least in my opinion :-) As you can see I taped down my four corners on top of my frame.  This allows me to have the frame evenly spaced on my card base, and have my sentiment in the appropriate spot.

Now you can see my tape shifted positions ... why?  Because now I have it laid out so once my foam tape is on my frame I can line it up and my frame will be in the correct place. Too many times have I had to peel up my frames for pieces because they weren't in place.  So now I line up the top and the rest falls in place.  You're welcome :-)

See how good my frame looks on my card base?  It really does line up perfectly.  It save time that is for sure.  Try it ... all that's wasted is a tiny bit of tape.  Press down your possum image and now just to finish it off with a few sequins.
