PANDA-MONIUM Challenge #380

 Hello AI Fans!

Welcome to our PANDA-MONIUM challenge.

Art Impressions recently released a brand new set from Kimberley called KH5821 – Panda Set.
Her set inspired this Panda-monium challenge...Black & White cards or craft projects.

You DON'T need to use a panda bear unless you want to. It's just what inspired this challenge.

Before we see what Sharon, our Featured Designer created, let's see who won our last challenge.

Our Top Spot in our All That Glitters challenge goes to...
Simone Carr!

Now on to Sharon's "Pandtastic" card.
Though she chose a panda for our Panda-monium challenge, remember, you only need
to use black & white unless you want to use a panda.

Let's see and hear about what she's made to inspire you!

Hello Ai fans!

I'm excited to kick off a new blog challenge today - Panda-Monium!! We are asking for black and white cards or projects. I'm so honored to get to feature Kim's new set KH5821 Panda Set!! This set is so beautiful and it's unbelievably quick to color!  I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used Copic markers to color it (they are listed below).

I decided I wanted to put him on an oval, so I chose AI's Double Stitched Oval Dies to cut him out and create a mat with some black cardstock. I love May Arts ribbon, and I just happened to have this awesome black and white ribbon in my stash! I first glued a strip of ribbon across a piece of black cardstock, and then using my Bow Easy tool, created a bow to add. (I find it VERY difficult to make a card without putting a bow on it! LOL)

I knew I wanted to use the "hang in there" sentiment from the Panda Set, so I grabbed my AI Double Stitched Circle Dies to cut it out. I popped it up with some Scotch 3M mounting tape.

After adding some pearls to the upper right corner for balance, I called her done! A very quick and easy card!

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and I hope you join the challenge for a chance to win a free stamp set of your choice! Until next time - stay crafty!!

Let's give Sharon credit where credit is due.
Her cards are almost always BURSTING with color and yet she knocked a black & white
card out of the park!!

Have a Pand-tastic Day Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Fans!
Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the Art Impressions Black Tie Affair challenge! This card was created with the super cute Ai 5113 -Pan-tastic Set and these panda bears work great with the black and white theme!
\

The panda friends were stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I wanted a little pop of color, so I added bright pink and green to the party hats; I love this color combination!

The background was created with a stencil and two shades of Distress Oxide ink. I wanted to give the dots an ombre appearance and thought having the different tones would add more interest to the pattern. I also cut the panda trio out to layer them on the card with foam tape for extra dimension.

The sentiment "Hope Your Day is Panda-tastic" was stamped with the same black ink and I added a layer of silver glitter for sparkle. I enjoy having some sparkle on my projects and silver glitter paper is my favorite!

Lastly, I added layers of black cardstock and silver glitter paper before attaching the card to an A2 sized black card base.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you will participate in the Art Impressions Black Tie Affair challenge!

You're my favorite thing to do! by Sharon Caudle

Hello AI Fans!

I love this technique of coloring in black and white or sepia.  It's a fun challenge for me since I'm such a bright and bold color person. These fabulous images from the Love Birds Set from Art Impressions were colored with all the warm grey Copics, then I just added a pop of red for Valentine's Day.  For Dies, I used the Rounded Rectangle Double Stitched Dies, the Circle Double Stitched Dies, and the brand new Flag Double Stitched Dies for my cards.

So that's it for me today! I hope you're having an amazing weekend and until next time - stay crafty!!

Copics used:

Village Try Folds by Jessica Griffin

The weather is getting cold, and we've been using the fireplace a bit more. It's time to start thinking about Christmas cards if you'll be making them. Assuming you haven't already started! :)

I wanted something classy, that would stick out when my friends and family received our cards, so I went with something non-traditional... black and white!

I used "Village" from the Try Folds collection to create this one dimensional card. I rounded the corners on the white card stock, but opted to leave the base square.

I sprayed some white seam binding with Lindy Stamp Gang's new Winter Wonderland collection, I used Frozen Jack Frost. Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the photo.

Everyone always comments on my bows, and let me tell you, I cheat. Big time! I tie my bow first. Then I lay down a piece of seam binding (ribbon, whatever I'm using), put a twist in the ribbon where I'll put the bow, and then I use a Glue Dot to adhere the bow. Putting the little twist in the ribbon makes it appear as though the ribbon and bow are one piece.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
