Masculine Happy Birthday by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!
I am stopping by today to share another card I made using the Baby Boy stamp set from Art Impressions. I wanted to show another masculine card. I love sets that are versatile.
I started by layering my card base with a white piece I used an embossing folder on.  I then layered a green strip across the center. I added the sentiment "Happy Birthday" in the top right on the green piece. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is a stamp from the Meerkat set. I actually only used a portion of the stamp that says "Happy Birthday from the Meerkat".  I added a white strip in the center.
I finished it by stamping three sailboats across the front. I Copic colored them with matching colors. I finished it off with yellow Nuvo Drops.
Here is one more look at the finished card.
I really like the polished look of it and how it could be really for any occasion for anyone from a young boy to an older gentleman just like the card I shared last week.I think we all probably need more masculine cards in our stash!  :-)

Copics used:
B12, B14, B16
C0, C1, C3
G40, G43, G46
Y13, Y15, Y17

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Please come back soon and see all of the wonderful creation by the Ai team!

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!

Enjoy Your Day by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!
I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the Baby Boy stamp set from Art Impressions. I wanted to show that this can also be used for a masculine card and not just a baby boy card.
I started by layering my card base with a white piece I used an embossing folder on.  I then layered a blue framed sentiment strip across the center with the sentiment "Enjoy the day" in the center. I finished it off with yellow Nuvo Drops.
From here I Copic colored four of my sailboats identically.  I fussy cut them out.  It's weird because sometimes I enjoy fussy cutting instead of dragging out my Scan N Cut.  I added a sailboat to each corner of my card with foam tape to give some dimension.
Here is one more look at the finished card.  I really like the polished look of it and how it could be really for any occasion for anyone from a young boy to an older gentleman.
What do you think of the card being masculine and not a "Welcome Baby" card.  I need more masculine cards in my stash!

Copics used:
B12, B14, B16
C0, C1, C3
R35, R37, R39
Y13, Y15, Y17

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Please come back soon and see all of the wonderful creation by the Ai team!

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!

You Keep Me Grounded | BFFs By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm working on some girlfriend coffee scene cards. For these I used the fabulous Coffee BFFs set . Which has a great image of these two ladies and 2 coffee themed sentiments. I wanted to create a simple scene for these ladies and play around with Copic coloring textures, specifically clothing.

I stamped the Coffee BFFs image on a piece of Neenah 80lb cardstock and used various copic markers to color them in. I do have the list of colors below. One of my favorite patters/ textures to color is leopard print. Which is really easy. I started with a lighter brown (E31)and colored the entire portion of where the animal print will be. Then I used a darker marker (W9) and made squiggly lines, half circles and dots all over. After that I added a bit of color by adding in orange (E34) and yellow (Y13).

I fussy cut the ladies anywhere that was located above the brown wood and layered a piece of embossed white cardstock underneath. I also used a light gray (C1) marker to enhance the texture of the embossing.

Using one of the dies from the Flag Double Stitched Die I die cut it using kraft cardstock and stamped the sentiment " you always keep me grounded". I love all the white with the fun splashes of colors in the center!

Copic Markers Used:

C7, C5, C3, C1
W9, W6, W3, W1, W0
E81, E77, E74, E59, E51, E35, E31

Thank you guys so much for joining me today! Happy Stamping!

Sweet Wishes & Happy Anniversary By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

This week I'm mixing up the Love Birds and Sweet Wishes sets, to make some anniversary cards. I love the beautiful floral wreath paired with the cute love birds. For this one I tried no line coloring with Copic markers. Colors I used are listed below.

I stamped the the wreath and birth images with a light gray ink, which gives me the no line color effect. Then colored them in with Copics. To add texture I used a 3D embossing folder for the wood pattern background. Then used Distress Ink in Pumice Stone to add color and really make the texture show. To add even more texture I add a circle of pattern cork paper. It was fun to mix up some patters.

I thought the wreath needed a cute little tag. Both of the Love Birds and Sweet Wishes have great sentiments so I added the one from Sweet Wishes to the little tag from the Tag Stitched Die set and attached it to the wreath with some glue after tying a baker's twine bow through the tag. The sentiment Happy Anniversary is embossed on black card stock with white embossing powder.

Copic Markers Used:
YR27, Y35, Y18, Y13
R17, R02
BG75, BG18, BG13, BG11
G17, G14, W6

I hope you enjoyed this card design today! Thank you all so much for stopping by. Happy Stamping!
