It's not the years... by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Happy Easter!

Each winter at work we have a step challenge to see who can walk the most steps.  There are teams of 4.  The team with the most steps overall wins and then there's an award for the person (no matter what team) that walks the most steps.  I made this card for the woman whose team won.  She also was the high stepper.  We walked together almost every day after school.  I finished 3rd overall which I was very pleased with. I fell 20,000 steps shy of 1,000,000 steps in 6 weeks!

I used
and

I figure this is me and my walking partner in about 20 years!

it's the mileage by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card using one of the fabulous Ai Golden Oldies. Here I used 1925- Power Walkers and my sentiment is 1945- It's The Mileage. The Golden Oldies are always a fun collection to create with!

I was planning to keep the colors in this card to pink & black but decided to pull a little blue & orange from the paper. Then I added the green, so it turned out quite the opposite of what I imagined, LOL, but it did bring the old gals to life!

I didn't want the large main panel to cover up so much of the background papers so I trimmed the top with my trimmer...up to the first gal's arm on either side. Then I fussy cut around her hand and left it hang over the panel's edge.

Don't you just wonder what their conversation is about? When I look at the above photo in black & white, it reminds me of the comic strips! LOL. That might just be an idea for a future card...hmmm.

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Power Walkers!

Hi Ai Fans!
I can so see this being me and my Bestie power walking when we get older! LOL. This stamp is called "Power Walkers".

I love how the black and red combination of my card turned out! I'm using paper from the Authentique Everlasting 6x6 collection. The sentiment is called "It's the Mileage" and just compliments this image beautifully! I added clear Wink of Stella to all the little red parts on my card. A few buttons and some black twine finished it off perfectly! I didn't decorate the inside of this card so that I can customize it when I am ready to use it.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20
Reds: R22, R24, R27
Greys: T0, T1, T3, T5
Outline: BG000

A new Challenge has started called "Cut Your Cards"! Sounds fun right?!! Maybe a Tryfold or a Window to the World stamp and window die cut? Head on over to the Ai online store to pick these new images up!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Stamping!

The only thing that needs jogging is my mind!

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm not sharing a card.  Instead I'm sharing something that I made for my 92 yr. old grandmother's physical therapists.  A little while ago my grandma slipped on some water on her hardwood floors and broke her leg.  She had to be in a nursing home for therapy for about a month.  My mom wanted to give them a thank you card originally but then she asked if I could do something kind of funny in a frame that they could put on their counter.  Since I don't exactly have PT themed stamps I thought they'd appreciate these seniors getting their exercise.

Pretty limited supplies this week...The stamps did the talking!  All I added was some Copics and a frame.

Revin' Up For Fun!

More birthday cards for my stash!  These two old gals are a riot.  They're called Power Walkers and are from Art Impressions.  The cute phrase is from the clear set Golfers.  I colored them with Copic markers and pieced the lady's hand so that it would extend beyond the card for a 3-D look.  I've shown how I did that in the photos below.  Simply stamp her twice.  Once on the paper your going to cut out and then another time on a scrap piece.  Cut out the scrap and glue it back where it belongs on the good image.  The card was cut with Spellbinders label dies.  Inside says "The only thing that needs jogging is my mind!" "Happy Birthday!"
