Sloth-some set By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

This week I'm coloring up some sloths from the Sloth- some set with Prismacolor Pencils. Since the new challenge is Animal Print I thought coloring animal fur would be appropriate! I colored these very similar in this video here.

I started off by stamping the sloths (Sloth-Some set 5002) hanging from the tree branch three times on a piece of Kraft cardstock, using Gina K amalgam ink. I used some Copic markers to help me map out where my colors would go. I have the list of all the colors I used down below, broken up into sections. To add a bit of depth and color to the Neenah Dessert storm cardstock I used Distress Ink in Pumice Stone with a make up blending brush. Blending that ink around the sloths, making the edges the darkest.

I used another piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to re-stamp the sloths three times so that I had 3 extra party hats and balloons. I decided on a black and white pattern paper to border the sloths and would need to cut off those sections which would slice right through them. By re-stamping and coloring those 6 elements I was able to fussy cut them out and place them over the top of the chopped hats and balloons. Plus it adds a little dimension. Speaking of which I also added some green craft foam underneath the sloth kraft piece.

I mounted the sloths with the green craft foam on to a piece of MFT Black and White striped pattern paper, then to Neenah Solar White 110lb cardbase. For the sentiment I used Tombow Markers (173 & 493) to make it gradient from green to blue, playing off of the colors of the balloons and hats. I also fussy cut the sentiment with my Fiskars scissors, then added it to the top right hand side with a few adhesive foam squares.

Here we have Niccole sharing a fun tutorial! Let's check it out!

Hello Ai fans!

I am here today making a flip card with the new Ai Flip Card Die and one of the new coordinating stamp set called Sloth Flip Card. The back of the insert of the Flip Card Die does a wonderful job explaining the die and where to place the die for cutting.

I taped my card down to my pat so it was even and then I taped my die to my paper.  It is important to make sure the die is above the 3.25 mark or your card will fold short.

As you can see it cuts it along with a scored mark for folding. That is pretty much it for the card base.  Easy peasy right?? Now on to the fun part decorating our card.

I cut two pieces of kraft paper to the specifications above.  This way it fits perfect with a small frame around it.

I colored my sloths with Copics and cut them out with my Scan N Cut.  I stamped my Thank you once in the middle and then stamped off the other two to give them a lighter view.  I added a thin stripe of gold glitter card stock along with a black and white stripped piece.  I took that same paper and cut a tiny piece to add to my sentiment block to offset it. I glued everything and added a few gold gems to finish off the front of the card.

For the inside I did pretty much the same just a different view.  Isn't it adorable that the stamp has the back sides of the sloth as well? I did add a strip of black and white to the top so it was not so plain.

Here is the side view so you can see it is still the size of an A2 card and will fit in a standard A2 envelope.

Here I am showing a back view so you can see how the flip action works. Doesn't it pack a big punch without a lot of effort with making the card?

Once again here is the finished card.Thank you so much for stopping by and I cannot wait to see what you have created using the Flip Card dies and stamps.

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!
