Hello! My name is Kate!

You might have noticed there have been some changes on the Ai blog site. After being a wonderful blog coordinator, Dawn Knight has asked to step down. We truly appreciated all her hard work and FANTASTIC designing. The staff at Art Impressions and the design team will truly miss her.

Now this is where I come in! If we haven't emailed or talked on the phone, my name is Kate Swanson and I am the Office Manager for Art Impressions. The owners have asked me to step in as blog coordinator and I am excited to take on the challenge! A little about me, I am a proud wife to my sweet husband, Tony, and a very new mom to my 4-month-old boy, Noah. I am a recent graduate of George Fox University with a bachelors in Business Administration and Organizational Communications and still reside in my college town of Newberg, Oregon. We are members at Newberg Foursquare Church and love to be involved in our community!

I have always had a passion for stamping and was so blessed to combine my career with my craft when I was hired at Ai. I personally love card making and try to take on as many craft projects as possible (I'm a huge Pinterest fan!).

We have some wonderful things in store for the blog and I'm excited to share new products, giveaways and contests with you! You can always contact me at kate@artimpressions.com.

Happy Stamping!!!
Kate

The Wall and Flowers

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another one of my Wednesday posts.
I was looking at some of my handmade flowers and that's how this card came to be. I picked out the flowers, picked card stock colors that complimented the flowers and then I chose the wall/flowers stamp. The colors I used in the stamped image are colors similar to the colors I used in the handmade flowers.

I added glitter to the stamped image by using a glue pen, (that's the squiggles you see on the stamped image square) and I added glitter to the flowers as well. These flowers would look great with spring colors as well. I'm getting ready to make more flowers and I will be using spring colors for the upcoming season.

Supplies used:
Stamp - Wall/Flowers H1383
Paper/Card Stock - white cs, green cs, orange  cs, sherbet orange cs, brown cs, designer paper
Inks used - Distressed Ink Vintage Photo, India Ink Black
Glitter - Sparkling Snow, Orange Surprise, Copper Penny
Copic Markers - RV21, R37, R85, C-0, C-2, G82, YG41, YR04, YG45, E25, E43, E51
