Thanksgiving Cards by Tasha!

Tasha here sharing two new cards perfect for Thanksgiving!

My first card uses the sweet hedgehog image from the 5191-Feast Mode Stamp Set. This critter is so happy and I love the fruit and leaves around him! For extra color, I used orange Distress Oxide Ink to create a glowing frame and added layers of purple card stock and plaid pattern paper. These Fall colors look fantastic on this card!

The second card uses the pumpkin pie stamp from the 4939-Full of Thanks Set. This set includes several cute characters, but I thought it would be fun to create a background with the little pie image! Pumpkin pie is my all time favorite dessert and I look forward to having it this Thanksgiving!

I colored the pie images with markers and stamped "Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving" on to a stitched banner. I also added some gold glitter paper and gold dots for some shine; I love the gold color!

I hope you enjoyed today's projects and are inspired to create some Thanksgiving cards!

 Hello Ai fans!

Even though Thanksgiving may look different this year...I'm still going all out.  Even if it's just my husband and our 2 kids with us.

Since I may not be seeing the family I normally would I wanted to have some Thanksgiving cards to send.

I used 4939 – Full of Thanks Set.

The little piece of pie is interactive. 
When you tip the card it slides up and down.
The sentiment and turkey are stamped on 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies and 5135 – Hexagon Double Stitched Dies.

I stamped and colored two of them, fussy cut them and split them between two layers of foam tape so that they'd slide up and down.

Next I cut a strip of paper(4 times to make it sturdy) and then popped the pie onto it and added a foam strip to each end.

Just tilt the card back and forth and the pie slides up and down the paper strip.

I have no idea where the year has gone, but it's almost time for Thanksgiving here in the States. So for my card today, I used 4939 Full of Thanks Set. And he is definitely dressed in his finest, don't you think?  He's looking quite dapper in his coat and bow tie! :)

Thanksgiving Diorama Card by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

Now that Halloween is over I am looking towards Thanksgiving.  I decided to use the Full of Thanks Set from last years release to make a really simple diorama card.  It has several layers with a silly image attached to each one.  It folds flat to fit into an envelope, but pops up and sits like a little scene.

The images were stamped onto Spetrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with My Favorite Things Extreme Black Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. The images were fussy cut and set aside. The background was ink blended onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Distress Oxide inks using the foam pads on the mini blending tools. It was spritzed with a Distress Sprayer and dried for the white splatter effect.  From top to bottom the colors used were Fired brick, Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye. Lastly, the Greeting was stamped on.

The Diorama part was made using two 8 1/2" x 11" sheets of 65 lb. Kraft paper.  Don't use really thick paper or your box won't fit together very well. Both sheets of paper were cut to 8 1/2" x 4 /12".  The two outer pieces were cut at 6 3/4" and scored at 3/4" and 6". One piece was cut at 6 1/4" and scored at 1/2" and 5 3/4". One piece was cut at 5 3/4" and scored at 1/4" x 5 1/2". The Hero Arts Infinity Rectangle Dies were used to cut the openings, but any dies shape be used.  Tip : It is important to line the dies up with each other at this stage.  Cut the largest shape from the outside and line the next smaller die inside the cut area. The card base was assembled next. The smallest piece was attached to the next smallest inner piece with a liquid glue. The back edges were lined up with the window at the front. The outer piece without the window was set upside down and adhesive was applied to the outside of both sides of the inner pieces and they were attached to the outer piece towards the back. The card was shut to make sure everything moved correct.  Next, adhesive was applied to the outer portion of both sides of the inner pieces and the last piece was attached around it with the window facing out. The card was shut again to make sure everything was moving correct.  Lastly, the images were attached in place making sure the adhesive was only applied where they would be touching the card.  The finished card measures 6" x 4 1/4".

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

 

Today I am sharing a card using the 4939- Full of Thanks set. This set is perfect for your Thanksgiving projects! The sentiments are so fun.  I also used the Gina Marie Designs Pumpkin Quilt die which my friend, Tina, bought and then enabled our whole group of friends to purchase. LOL. Does that happen to you? It's so pretty and makes the perfect background for this Ai set!

 

While I was die cutting different papers to use, I figured I might as well switch the pieces around and make two cards.  These critters are so cute with their tummies full of pumpkin pie!

I still had plenty of leftover pieces and needed a few "quick cards" but didn't have time to color up some extra images.  My solution was to piece the pumpkin pieces together onto a patterned background and then stamp the images and sentiment on the inside.

I used rust and dark brown inks to give them some color without actually coloring. :)

Hello Ai fans!

I am feeling thankful today!  So it's a good day to share a couple of cards using Full of Thanks Set (Sku #4939):

These two turkey images totally crack me up!  I've coloured both with Copic markers, then cut them out with some stitched dies.  I used the wonderful Lawn Fawn fall plaids and added a little zigzag stitching with my sewing machine, and a few enamel dots.

If you're north of the border like I am, you'll be celebrating Thanksgiving this coming weekend - so I hope you have a Happy Turkey Day!
