Never too old to PARTY! by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with some stamps and dies from Art Impressions.  I used the 5114 – Never Too Old Laugh Lines and the 5072 – Block Letters Die Set.

I needed a fun, bright card and thought these prints from Doodlebug would be just perfect against the bright white.

I embossed the front panel and accented it with some sequins that matched the papers I used.

I used one of the verses from the set on the inside and I cut it out with the

I paper pieced her dress because I wanted her to match one of the letters.
She and the letters are also popped up on foam tape to give the card a 3-D effect.

Girlfriend Blend Coffee Card | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm sharing another coffee themed inspired card. I couldn't resist coloring up the Girlfriend blend set! Don't forget to enter in your own coffee cards in the current challenge.

Using a stamp platform, I stamped the Girlfriend Blend image on Neenah 80lb Solar White card stock with Gina K. Amalgam ink. I really had coffee on my mind for this one. Which is why I kept my coloring to mainly neutral tones. I used BV00 to add shading to the caffeinated ladies light skin tones. Blending that out with E51 and E00. I shaded in a table for them to lean on and sketched in the blue sky, B41 & B00.

Once the coloring was done I used the largest Hexagon Double Stitch die to die cut the Girlfriend Blend image. Since I was die cutting I went ahead and die cut a green card stock with the Stitched Rectangle Double Stitch die and also the ovals, or petals/leaves. Twice with a shimmer green card stock and four times with a Chartreuse felt. The oval die is from the Tag Double Stitch die.

I added a strip of Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate card stock to the bottom of the image. For the sentiment, "Never underestimate the power of being properly caffeinated." I heat embossed with white embossing powder on Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate card stock.

Succulent Terrarium by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

Today I am stopping by to share a card using the Succulents stamp set from Art Impressions. This card is clean and simple that is for sure.  But it sure makes an impact.

I started by coloring my Succulents with my Copic markers and using the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used my Hexagon Double Stitched Dies from Ai to cut out my make shift terrarium.  I have not cut apart my hexagons yet.  I love that I can cut multiple frames in the hexagon shape. I only used the biggest three sizes for my frame.

I added my Succulents last and arranged one flat with glue, the big one in the middle I used glue on the bottom half and raised the top half with foam tape.  For the last smaller one in front; I popped him up with foam tape.

I finished it with a few light green confetti sequins.  And a small stamp in the bottom corner of the inside of the card.  I love the offset of the sentiment in the corner. It really was a card that came together quickly.

I love how it looks like you are looking down into a terrarium. Wouldn't you agree ... a perfect birds eye view??

Wag Your Tail by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I hope this Wednesday finds you well.  I am stopping by today to share with you a fun card I made using the new Dog House Cubbie Critters.

I wanted to keep it simple but yet draw you to it.

I couldn't decide which of the dogs I wanted to use so I made two cards.  I knew I wanted to use pink, especially with the Chihuahua and the Pomeranian.

First up the Pomeranian.  Isn't she just the cutest?  I really like the dog images Ai used in this stamp set.  They did an awesome job in my opinion.  I know I will be using this set a lot.

Here is a close up of these cuties colored.  I also added some Nuvo drop in Carnation Pink to add some character to the card.

Onto the little Chihuahua ...

I did the exact thing to this card as I did with the Pomeranian dogs.  I stamped them in a row across my card.  I colored them with Copics.

I ended up changing the Nuvo Drops I used and used the Nuvo Jewel Drops in Strawberry Coulis.  It is translucent.  I love how they look on paper.

Here is a look at both of them together.  Aren't they cute?? You could use them for almost any occasion.  "Have a wag your tail good time" is just one of the four sentiments in this set.  It really is versatile.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Don't worry you WILL be seeing more of this set.  I just love it!

Good Shepherd Watercolor Cards by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

For today's card I wanted to use the Good Shepherd Set from the Bible Journal line of watercolor stamps.  I used it with the Watercolor Sentiment Set 2 to make two everyday cards.
I used the Ai watercolor method to color my stamped images.  I've listed the Tombow marker colors I used at the end of the post.  I kept the main image the same but changed up everything around it.  I added a barn to one of the watercolor panels and a fence to the other.  I also changed up the flower placement.  I kept all of the colors the same.
Once my panels were complete, I cut the using my Double stitched dies from Ai and added them to the dry embossed background.  I used a seam binding bow and a button to embellish the top of the embossed layer. The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and cut into a banner. I attached everything to a teal A2 card.
Tombow Dual Brush Colors Used:
177 Dark Jade, 526 True Blue, 565 Deep Blue,
725 Rhodamine Red, 969 Chocolate, 993 Chrome Orange,
N25 Lamp Black

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

You Brighten My Day Watercolor Card by Carol Hintermeier

Happy Monday Ai Fans!

Today I have one of my favorite type of cards to have on hand--one that I can use for many different reasons to send to a special person!  It's also my favorite type because it's watercoloring the Ai way!! In February I had the pleasure of attending an Ai Watercolor Class at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo.  I also got to visit Art Impressions' beautiful booth and picked up this awesome WC Jars Set.  This was my first time playing with it and it was so relaxing to just color!

After I stamped and watercolored everything I cut the image out with a Hexagon Double Stitched Die and then used that die and the next larger one to cut out frames from the watercolor paper three times.     After I glued them together, I used the same blue that I used on the pitcher to color the frame.  Oh, I almost forgot to mention I used the WC Stamp Positioner to make sure I stamped the decorative flourish in just the right spot on the pitcher.

I adhered the frame to my white card panel and then glue the stamped image inside.  Such a simple, but sweet, card to make!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!!

Sit... Stay... Heal... | Doggy Kisses By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

This week I'm still creating with dog themed cards. I loved playing with the Doggy Kisses set and was inspired to create this homey scene with the little sick dog holding his teddy bear.

I started with stamping the sick dog on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. Then I sketched out the couch with Copics and colored everything in. I've been loving this orange and aqua color combination lately so I made the couch a yellow orange color and the pillow case and slippers aqua. I repeat these colors and add in a bit of the red and more gray through out too.

Creating scenes like this one is so easy. After coloring the couch and dog I used a T-square to draw in the baseboards then colored the floor is cool grays. I used two of the smaller Hexagon Double Stitched dies to create some picture frames. I used the cut outs to stamp two more dogs to act as the photos. Those two had the best faces for this!  I colored those then adhered them in to their designated spots after attaching the main panel to a Neenah Solar White 110lb card base. I also colored around the outer edge of the hexagon cut out with several copics to colore the frame. For the final touches, I used the small paw print to frame the Dachshund image and stamped the sentiment with black ink.

Here's The Skinny ... by Niccole Kulig

Hi Ai Fans!

Today I am stopping by to share a couple cards I made from the Skinny Yet stamp set from Art Impressions.

I started by placing both cuts of pattern paper to my card base.  I tied it together with a black strip of paper.  I stamped my images and colored them with Copic markers; which I list at the end of this post. I cut out my large image with my Scan N Cut.

My sentiment is also from the Skinny Yet stamp set.  I cut both my sentiment and the white card stock with the Hexagon Double Stitch Die set.

I added pattern paper to my large hexagon and glued it to my card base. I glued the base of my skinny lady to my card and popped the top half with foam tape. I colored my smaller hexagon shape with a Copic marker as well, added my sentiment to the bottom left corner of the card with foam tape.

I finished the card off with Nuvo Drops in the color Carnation Pink. I feel like it completes the card, don't you?

Once again here they both are together again.  I cannot decide if I like the yellow or turquoise better, you?

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me!
