Succulent Mini Critter Pots by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I have the two cards that I made for the Zoo Crew challenge going on right now here on the blog.  Just go to the bar above and click current challenge to be taken to the post and enter your project!

I used two new sets for my cards and two other sets for my sentiments.

The images are from 5519 – WC Mini Critter Pots and 5528 – Desert Succulent Set.

I'm a little worried that my cactus in the dog planter look a little like cucumbers but oh well...lol!
I used a brick embossing folder because I wanted a sort of Bojo exposed brick vibe with open shelving.
I used my 2.0 MM Molotow Marker and my 4.0 MM Molotow Marker to make the dots on the owl and frog.  I put the liquid down, let it dry, colored my markers over the dots and then used my white eraser to rub them off.

Hello Friend is from 5444 – MB Garden and was cut using 5132 – Tag Stitched Dies.
There's still time to enter the challenge.

These little pots and plants were so fun to color.  I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut all the little shapes out so that I didn't need to fussy cut them. They're actually a watercolor set so no cutting necessary if you prefer to WC.

My second card was for our daughter's birthday.  She loves succulents and also loves her Crocs so I added a pair from a retired set.  The Always Among the Blooms verse on her card is from 5028 – Potting Shed MTF.

Markers used:
Le Pen technical drawing pen 0.05
Marvy no. 5 Yellow
Tombow 228 and 992

Always Among the Blooms -by Crystal

Hi Ai fans! I'm ready for spring so this week I pulled this Potting Shed stamp set out. To make this tri-fold card I used two 5 1/2 X 4 1/4" card bases and glued them together.  Before I glued them together I trimmed a little off of the edge of each card base so they would fit together better.

I stamped all of the images and colored them in with alcohol markers.  After all of the images where colored in a ran them through my die cutting machine with the coordinating dies that come in the set. I used some pattern paper to add a little detail to the card.

Inside the card is this cute little bunny sleeping on a shelf.

Spectrum Noir Markers:
IG1, IG2, IG3, IG5, IG9, Blender, BP1, BP2, BP3, EB1, EB2, EB3, GB1, GB3, GB5, PP1, PP2, PP3, PL1, PL3, PL4, LG1, LG3, LG5, LY3, LV1, LV2, LV3

Happy Stamping!

Easter Blessings by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Fans!

I'm looking ahead to Easter (it's on April 21 this year) and have this sweet card featuring the new Basket of Blessings set.

For this card, I used just the rabbits and chick from the Basket of Blessings set and stamped the inside with one of the included sentiments.  The flower pots are from the Potting Shed MTF.  All of the images were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils (colors listed below).  I also used a bit of Gamsol to blend the colors.

For the card front I used a brick embossing folder with some gray card stock and then went over it with white pigment ink for that whitewashed look.  I used my scoreboard to score the white card stock for a paneled look.  I die cut the opening with the die in the Window Die set and snipped out the window panes.

For the inside I positioned the row of rabbits so they would show through the window.  The sentiment is layered with the same gray card stock that I used on the card front.

We always appreciate the time you take to stop by our blog.  Thank you!  Have a great, crafty week!

Prismacolor Premier Pencils:
Pink, Deco Pink, Blush Pink, Carmine Red, Olive Green, Apple Green
50% Cool Grey, 70% Cool Grey, 90% Cool Grey, 50% French Grey, 70% French Grey, Chestnut,  Terra Cotta, White

Potting Shed MTF by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Friends!

I've used the new Potting Shed Mini Tryfold for my card today!  Isn't this just the sweetest scene?!  I love the die cut doors to the shed and the little peek at the sweet bunny on the third layer!

I stamped the first and second images onto 80# Neenah Solar White card stock since I was going to color them with alcohol markers and didn't want the ink to bleed through and show as the card is opened.  After coloring, fussy cut the images.   I used two of the new Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies  and cut panels for the card front and second layer.  Before adhere the first image, I lightly sponged on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for the sky behind the shed.  Then I added a strip of green washi tape from my stash to imitate grass.   I really like that there is a separate die included for the flower pot!  It gives you a lot of options that way!

Here is the inside of the card where I stamped directly onto the card and colored it.

Here is a close up of the front where you can see all of the fun layers through the die cut openings.

I hope you've enjoyed my version of the delightful Potting Shed MTF!  There are so many ways this can be used and hope you will share yours with us!  Happy stamping!

Here's a quick tutorial from the lovely Sharon today, take a look for instructions and tips for your own Mini TryFold cards!

Hello AI Fans!!

I'm super excited today to show you my card featuring the brand new #5028 Potting Shed MTF! I actually made an Inside Shadow Box card with it.  I followed a video by Jennifer McGuire to make it, so just click HERE if you want to make one too. I think they are perfect for the Mini TryFolds

To start, I cut and scored my papers to Jennifer's specifications.

I placed the front of the folded card into my stamp platform so I could center the image.

And die cut the doors out.

I then centered the inside portion of the card behind the front and outlined the doors so I knew where to stamp the middle portion of the set, then stamped the center portion and die cut it. It's so easy to do this since the stamps are clear!

I then stamped the inside piece on a separate piece and centered it behind the center piece and adhered it.  To color this, I used chalk pencils.  I loved the sentiment of Always Among the Blooms, so I actually cut a bunch of the flower pots and colored them up, then popped them up from the card. I really love how they turned out and the die for the flower pot comes with the set!! So this is the finished card with a little video at the end that shows how the Inside Shadow Box card works! I created frames to go around the images by cutting a piece of pattern paper, then cutting out the center using the Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies

Please excuse the noisy background. LOL! I wasn't paying too much attention to that. I was concentrating too hard on making sure we captured the card correctly. You can hear my Granddaughter in the background yelling for her cat Noodle. LOL!

So that's it for me today! Hope you have enjoyed and I can't wait to see what you create with your new Circlets and Mini Tryfolds! Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time, Stay crafty!

Thanks, Sharon! Love your shadowbox card! Such an awesome idea for any of our Mini Tryfolds or Circlet MTFs!
