Watercolor the Art Impressions way by Marie-Pierre Capistran

Hello Ai Fans!

I have another watercolor series card to show you today!! :)

Here I used the pail and the same flowers as last week with the watering can. I also painted a blue wash in the background and that's changing the things up quite a bit. There aren't two cards that are the same. That's the very fun thing about these stamps! :)

And you know, if you are now ready to take the plunge and get some stamps from this collection but don't know where to start because you want them all, I'd maybe start with the set of the project you like the most. You can see them all right here. Pick one and buy the sets that you need to complement the image you want to do. For example, maybe you'll need a tree or some flowers or foliage to complete the project. It's a nice way to start a good collection.

This is my last post as a Design Team member so I would like to take a moment to thank everybody at Art Impressions who have let me be part of this marvelous adventure! It was a great pleasure to work with your awesome products and a real HONNOR to get to meet you in Anaheim!! I sure hope I'll have the chance to meet you again in the future. And until then, you hold a special place in my heart. Love you guys!! Thanks again so so much. A special thanks to the very special to me "she does it all" Kate. Your are truly a gem!!

Take care my friends!! Your are great at what you are doing!

Sincerely,

Ai Pop Ups by Judith

Hello Ai Fans!

I am back today to share a little gift bag and tag with you all.  Now it's no secret that I love the Ai Pop Ups and one of the things that I love about them is the 'extra' pieces that come in a set. This happy fellow comes with the Art Deco Set 6, but is not part of the main image.  He is perfect to make a quick last minute tag or card with :)

And why a tag...

… because I received a We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board in the mail that I just had to play with :)  It worked perfectly and is so fun!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Challenge 136 - OWH Cards! Week Two!

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome back for week to of our challenge! We hope those of you in the U.S. had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We're still creating Operation Write Home (OWH) cards. OWH is a a non-profit organization in which volunteers create handmade cards that are gathered and sent overseas to troops, so they can then write home to their families.
How cool is that?!

We had a ton of fun joining the annual OWH Memorial Day Bloghop last Saturday. If you missed it, you can still hop through all the blogs by visiting the OWH blog here.

For our challenge, we would love to see you create OWH cards to send in! There are some guidelines for OWH (A2 cards with envelopes, no glitter, etc.) and to make sure your card is in tip-top shape for our troops, check out the guidelines here. As long as your card follows the guidelines, feel free to submit to our challenge! Also, don't forget to mail in your cards to OWH, check out the mailroom information here.

This week, we're also launching two NEW TryFolds! These fun new character TryFolds are so funny, just love them!

One great thing about TryFolds, their dimensions are perfect to adhere to an A2 cardstock, perfect for OWH cards! Also, after many requests, we now offer cardstock & envelope packs for our TryFolds! You can find them under TryFolds in white and cream on our site!

Check out these awesome cards by our design team!

birthday wishes by Sherry Eckblad

Hello Ai Fans!

Sherry here today to share with you a card I created using one of the 'Try'Fold stamp sets.

I used the Gazebo set, my distress markers and a paintbrush.

I colored the distress marker on my acrylic block and then lifted the color off with a wet paintbrush. More water on your brush gives you a lighter color so if you want a dark color just use less water.

Here is the card once I remove the twine that is tied around it.

And finally here is the card once it is totally opened up.

This was my second attempt at making one of the 'Try'Folds and I have to admit I was scared at first but the instructions that come with the stamp set worked out perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Disco Set by Karen Day

I have a Father's Day card to share with you today, using one of the fun Shake Your Booty sets: Disco Set (Sku #4307).

My father has been known to wear... well, let's go with "bright" attire on occassion, so I thought this card would work for when he's in a bit of a goofball mood.  I've used the new FDMD Set (Sku #4454) for the Father's Day sentiment.  Here's the inside:

The inside sentiment comes with the Disco Set, and is: "Shake Your Booty!"

His little derriere is paper pieced and popped up on an action wobble!

I also did a version without the Father's Day sentiment, that can be used for a birthday or other occassion.
Copics used: Skin E13, E11, E00, E000
Shades: C7, C5, C3
Shirt: YR16, YR15, YR12, Y17, Y13
Shoes/flower centers: E37, E35, E33
Happy Stamping everyone!
