Rockin' Granny with Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a birthday card perfect for a rockin' granny! This card features the Rock On set, which is part of Ai's Laugh Lines collection. Check out the rest of the 2021 releases here. This card is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

For the background I wanted it to look like the granny is just rockin' away in a sitting room. I used a pink and white striped pattern paper as the wall paper. I used the ShadowBox Window die set to create a window on the wall. I used Copic markers (E18, E15, E13, E11) to create the wood planked flooring.

The rest of the Copic markers I used to color the granny and the rocking chair are listed at the end of this blog post. I put the Rock On image on a action wobble so the rocking chair moves back-and-forth.

After coloring the floor I stamped and heat embossed the "aging is inevitable maturing is optional" sentiment with white embossing powder. I also stamped and heat embossed the 'Happy Birthday Rock On!" sentiment with white embossing powder onto a Circle Double Stitched die cut. I used foam tape to attach the stitched circle die cut onto the card front.

Recliner King Wobbler by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a birthday card featuring the new Sit Back stamp set, which is part of the Laugh Lines collection. Check out the rest of the 2021 releases here. This card is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

This 5.5" x 5.5" square card is designed with a grayscale color scheme layered with fun textured papers! The TV die cut is from the retired TV Time Craft Die Set. I stamped the sentiment inside of the tv with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. I die cut the black sentiment strips with the Flag Double Stitched die set and heat embossed the sentiments with while embossing powder.

Next, I colored the old man and recliner chair image with Copic Sketch markers. The markers I used are listed at the end of this blog post. I used an action wobble with the recliner image to create a rocking-motion interactive piece. To finish the card I added red and black sequins for embellishment.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!

Flying High for Your Birthday!

Hello everyone! Today is my first post as a freshly minted new Design Team member for Ai. I am so excited to be here! Like you, I am a HUGE Ai fan and can't wait to share my creations with you. I will be posting on Saturdays and hope you'll stop by every weekend to see what's been shared. You can also find me on YouTube and on my blog. Just look for SugarShine Designs.

Today I'm bringing out an older but oh-so-fun His & Hers Flying High set which is perfect for a landscape slimline card. This set has all the pieces to make a great little scene including a dog and a parachute. So cute!

For this card, I chose the plane, Birthday banner and one of the sentiments. The sky background was created with a simple water color technique and the images were Copic colored.

I mounted the plane on an Action Wobble. It makes the plane pop and adds some action to the scene. You can see how it moves below.

I have a video for you on the background and card construction. If you want to try watercolor, the sky is made with a very simple technique that's perfect for beginners. Click on the video thumbnail to watch.

I used the following Copic Colors:

Plane: YR00, YR02, YR07, E15, E18
Banner: Y38, Y35, Y15
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, E04, R20
Scarves: R32, R35, R37, R39
Tires & Landing Gear: C1, C3, C5, C9
Man's Shirt: BV00, BV02, BV08, BV13
Woman's Shirt: Y38, Y35, E15, E18
Propeller: C5, C3, C1
Goggles: B000, Tombow Drawing Pen 02

This is a fun set to work with and has a lot of options. Thanks for stopping by!

I find you ribbiting! by Sharon Caudle

Hello AI Fans!!

Hope you're having an amazing start to your weekend!  Today I made a card using Toad Wiggle Wobble stamp set! Her legs and arms are attached with mini brads, so you can either pose them or let them dangle as you wish.    I chose to pose her arms so the brads on her arms were closed a little tighter. After attaching her arms and legs, I put her on a Wobble. Fun stuff!!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today and until next time stay safe and stay healthy!!
hugs

Santa Rocking by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the 4792 Dreaming Mini Shaker stamp set from Art Impressions.  I love this Santa so much. As a matter of fact I will be sharing another card next week using this same set.  Can you tell I love him??
I started by Copic coloring my Santa image from the Dreaming Mini Shaker set. I cut him out using the coordinating die that comes with the stamp set. I added Wink of Stella to his beard and the fur on hat after I had taken the picture.  He looked a little plain ... besides who doesn't like a little shimmer?
I set him aside and added some pattern paper to the bottom portion of my card to emulate a floor.  I love the buffalo plaid.  I added a tiny strip of black paper to define the area. I added the Action Wobble that comes also with the stamp and coordinating die.  You can also buy packages of Action Wobbles over at the Ai site. I love these things! They add so much dept to your card with out you even trying - LOL
I don't feel like this card needs much.  The Santa is definitely my main focal point. So I finished it off with some crystal gems.  I think it looks like it is snowing.
Doesn't the Action Wobble really make the Santa stand out?  When you flick him, he actually rocks!
Here is the finished card one more time.  I really like how it represent the classic Christmas look.  I am a sucker for Christmas and good ol' Christmas charm.

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me.  Please come back again soon soon and see what myself and the rest of the team have been up to.

Gobble, Gobble by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made using the Gobble Set.  It is a really fun action set.  It uses an Action Wobble.
I started with a standard A2 Kraft card base.  I added some Halloween chevron paper I had to the bottom portion of my card. I trimmed it with a thin piece of gold glitter paper. I then cut two identical pieces of gold card stock with the Circle Double Stitched Dies. I also cut two identical smaller circles from white cards stock.  I glued them together and to the front of my card and also on the inside of my card.
I Copic colored my two pieces of my turkey and fussy cut them out and added Wink of Stella to the feathers. I attached the turkey head to the front of my card with foam tape.
I attached the turkey butt with the Action Wobble to the inside circle.

I masked off my sentiment so I only stamped "Gobble" to the front of my card and then did the same on the inside to only say "til you Wobble." I finished off my card with some black enamel dots to the front.  I love how his little turkey butt wobbles when you open the card.
Here is one more look at the full card.  thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what we are all sharing.

It's the Year of the Pig! by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

Happy New Year! Today is the start of the Chinese new year and it's the year of the pig.  To celebrate that I thought I'd make a pig card.  I used the Pig Flutter set.  You all know me.  I had to use it a different way, so I put it on an action wobble spring.  I'll explain below how I did it.
The pig image was stamped onto Strathmore Bristol paper with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink. Before the ink dried, clear embossing powder was applied and the image was heat set. The pig image has two small holes in it for the brads to attach to the wings for a flutter card and we don't want those on this image so they were masked.  To do that, tiny pieces of washi tape were applied over the hole images on the stamp before the image was inked up.  The ink was applied, the washi tape was removed with tweezers and the hole images were clear of ink so just the pig image could be stamped. You can do this with any of your flutters.
The image was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Light Pink and Flesh Color were mixed together to form the color of the pig.  The color was pulled out with a fine tip water brush.  A little Oatmeal was added to some of the brighter areas. Dark Brown was added to the hooves.  The background paper and the greeting were cut with the new Hexagon Double Stitched Dies. The Eat Cake mat stack from The Paper Studio was used for the card.  It has some fun glitter papers in it.  Some of the layers were added to the card with foam tape before the pig image was added to the center of the smallest hexagon with an Action Wobble. Ranger Diamond Stickles was added to the card.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Trick Or Treat Card By Crystal Schneider

Hi AI fans!
This week I had fun with this My Feet set 4680. I'm all about cute for Halloween not scary and this monster is way more cute then scary just perfect!

I stamped the image with Memento black ink so I could color him in with alcohol markers. Before I colored him in I masked him with a post-it note and inked the background with some yellow. I started with dark blending out to white on the edge.

I colored under the wobble where his feet would be so it would not show white if you looked at it at an angle.

I love this little monster and his big feet wobbling around is so cute.

That sentiment is adorable with this little monster.

Guinea Pigs Card Set By Crystal Schneider

Hello AI fans!

This week I have been playing with Guinea Pig Out set 5003. I love these cute little guinea pigs so much! I have three cards to share with you today.  I see many mare cards in my future made with them.

I stamped all of the images with Memento black ink so I could color them in with alcohol markers.

Card 1:

I had so much fun coloring these little guys in! After I colored them in I stamped the sentiment under them, matted the image with some fun pattern paper, kraft cardstock, and blue cardstock. Adhered the whole panel to a top folding card base.

Card 2:

For this card I matted it with some fun pattern paper. I used a stencil for the pattern underneath the guinea pig. I attached the guinea pig with an action wobbler.

My daughter has a guinea pig who looks just like this little guy.  When he gets excited to see her he pops up and down.  I love how the wobbler makes him look like he is excited and just jumping up and down on the card.

Card 3:

This card came together really fast I stenciled some clouds on the background and die cut some more clouds to adhere to the background. Matted the card panel onto some wood grain pattern paper. I also attached this guinea pig with an action wobbler too look like he is flying in the sky.
