Crazy Gardening Lady by Cynthia Olheiser

Hello Ai fans!

Today is a bittersweet day.  It will be Cynthia's final Guest Designer post (other than her card for week two of our V is for Vacation challenge premiering at noon PST today.)

But...that means we welcome Mercy back next week!

Thank you so much for stepping in and helping us out Cynthia.  Your work is beautiful and has been an inspiration to so many people! We hope you've enjoyed your time here as much as we've enjoyed having you.

I've had such a fun time this month sharing inspiration with Art Impressions stamps.  I would like to say Thank You to Art Impressions for allowing me to join them this month!  Today I would like to share a  summer card featuring Gotta Garden Set 5000.

The summer growing season is short in Alaska.  My husband and I take full advantage of the extended summer daylight and plant both vegetables and flowers.  We never know what will flourish each year, but we enjoy the process regardless.

I stamped the image onto X-Press It card stock with Versa Clair black ink then embossed with clear powder.  Copic markers were used to color the image then die cut with Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle die cuts.

The image panel was adhered with dimension tape to designer papers from Echo Park Homegrown paper pad.  Twine and a coordinating sentiment complete the 4.5 square card.

Road Trip! By Cynthia Olheiser

 Hello Ai fans!

It's week 3 with our Guest Designer, Cynthia Olheiser.
Today she has a fun, embossed Road Trip card for you.

I'm having so much fun as Guest Designer for Art Impressions this month!  Today I'm sharing a clean and simple design featuring Art Impressions 4931 - Road Trip Set.

I began this card by ink blending with Tim Holtz Distress inks - Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.  Two of the buildings from the set were stamped with Versamark ink and wet embossed with white embossing powder.

The group of lady travelers were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut then adhered with dimension tape.  The finished panel was layered onto Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock.  A few enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the card.

Happy Birthday Bear by Cynthia Olheiser

 Hello Ai fans!

Cynthia is back again and has a sweet birthday card to go along with week two of our Bonnie's Birthday challenge.  Be sure to stop by the blog at 9am PST to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.

This week I'm sharing a clean and simple birthday card along with Bonnie's Birthday Challenge.  Happy Birthday Bonnie!

I took a little artistic liberty with the Art Impressions 5113 Pand-tastic Set this week.  The lazy little bear image is so adorable and I decided he could also be a brown bear.  Of course, the brown bear is a little more common in my area of the country!

Both the bear and a sentiment from AI Chocolate Therapy set were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  The bear was colored with Copic Markers E53 Raw Silk, E33 Sand and E35 Chamois.  The panel was layered onto designer paper from Pink Paislee Switchboard paper pad and a black card stock base.  A few enamel dots finish the 4. 5 inch square card.

I hope you will join the current birthday challenge!  If you would like to send Bonnie a Birthday wish you can mail your card here...

Welcome Cynthia! July Guest Designer

Hello Ai fans!

We have something special for you for the month of July.

Our fabulous MERCY needed to take July off so we decided to invite a guest designer to fill in in her absence.  You can't replace Mercy but you can find other die hard Ai fans that will inspire you while she's away!

We asked the amazing Cynthia Olheiser to fill in for July.  She'll be sharing a project every Thursday morning as well as participating in our two July challenges.  Please help us give Cynthia a warm welcome!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was so honored when Art Impressions invited me to be their Guest Designer for July.  I have been a customer and fan of AI for many years.  My local stamp store carried the AI line and it was "love at first sight" for me.

Today I chose to create a fun birthday card with the adorable Art Impressions Frog set.  The image was stamped and wet embossed then colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  I created the base panel with Tim Holtz Rays stencil using Memento Tangelo and Dandelion inks.  A few gems and "Hoppy Birthday" sentiment complete the card.
