My card today just screams friendship. I think all of us would agree that Friends are the Best! I don't know what I would do without my Besties!!
I created a fun-fold card using the #5516 Friends Forever stamp set.
I stamped the image on copic friendly paper and colored with copic markers listed below. I made the window on the front using the #5063 Rectangle A2 Double Stitched die. I used the inside rectangle for the frame of the image and the outside stitched portion for the window frame. I made a square 5 1/2" card but you can make this on a A2 card base as well. For the fold piece inside, I cut a piece of 80 lb cardstock 8 1/4" x 4 1/2" and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". If you want to make a different size card, such as an A2 (4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high), the inside fold piece is computed as 1.5 times the width and scoring in thirds (2 1/8" and 4 1/4"). Adhere your image to the top fold piece only, so that it will swing into the window when opened. See picture below.
I stamped the sentiment from the #5516 Friends Forever stamp set onto a stitched circle using the #5064 Double Stitch Circle die and the frame using the circle die from #5902 Mini Scallop Frame. I added a few enamel dots and a bow and my card is finished.
My card for today fits the All A-Buzz Challenge going on this week. Check out the "Bi-weekly Challenge" tab above for the details and join in on the fun. Create a card/project using insects. I used the #5925 - Honey Bee set for my card. What a great fun set. It includes flowers, bees, honey jar, bee hive and so much more plus dies to go with each of the images.
A complete set for creating a beautiful scene.
I love making interactive cards so this one is no surprise that I made the bees buzz around. I stamped each of the images onto copic friendly paper and colored with copic markers listed below. I die cut each of the images with the corresponding dies, included in the set, and placed them aside while I built the base for the card.
I used the #5892 Easter S2 paper pack and the largest #5062 Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched die to cut the pattern paper. Then I used two circles from the #5064 Double Stitched Circle dies to cut the round track for the bees to buzz around. I placed foam tape behind the circle as well as the rectangle, making sure not to place too close to the outside of the circle so the bees can spin, and adhered onto a black cardstock background. I slipped a dime (or disc, thin button, etc.) under the track and placed a square pop dot, cut in half, on top of the dime. Then I placed two bees on top of the foam dot. I used two bees so that I could hide the dime from showing.
After making the mechanism, I decorated the rest of the card using the images I had colored and die cut. I created the grass using a die cut and patterned paper from my stash. I also used the Rounded Rectangle A2 die to cut the bottom portion of the grass so it fit nicely over the striped base. I glued the stem portion of the flowers underneath the grass and popped up the flower portion using foam tape. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment, from this same set, and die cut using the #5135 Hexagon Double Stitched Die set.
That's my card for today! Hope you play along with us and enter your creative card/project into the challenge. You could win a free stamp set and who can say "No" to that.

Now let's see what Lynn has created to help inspire you.
She's our Featured Artist for this challenge and she has a beautiful
card to share.
Watch video tutorial here!!!
Today's feature card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge called "Birds of a Feather" which is to incorporate a bird or birds on your card or project!
I thought it would be fun to create a scene where the Ai Floral Truck Set (5511) would look like a little pop-up floral shop. So, let's begin by stamping the images from this set, as well as a few birds from the Ai Birds and Bugs Set (5561), and a pretty topiary from the Ai Front Porch Garden Set (5486). All of the coloring today will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Lt Pink, Peach Pink, Lilac, Lt Violet, Deep Red Grape, Deep Vermillion, Deep Red, Lt Gray, Gray, Cool Gray 6, Beige, Mid Brown, Haze Blue, Lt Blue, Cobalt Blue, Persian Green, Blue Gray, Dk Agate, Lt Green, Green.
To ground the scene, we will be stamping a pretty brick walk. Once the brick walk is stamped and colored, we can add a pretty sky by ink blending some orange and yellow inks!
Next, we can assemble the card, popping up some of the items for added interest and dimension. Don't forget to add those adorable little birds and bees! To layer up the card we will use some pretty polka dot paper from the Ai Easter S2 Paper Pack (5892).
We can also add some baker's twine and tie a bow at the top of the card! And as you probably already know, I have been trying to complete my cards by adding a sentiment and an interesting element to the inside of the card. For this card, I added a sentiment from the Ai Mrs. Set (5405) which says, "Wishing you every Bloomin' Thing!" and another cute flowerpot as well as a little bee!
Please check out the entire Front Porch Series for lots of little elements that can be incorporated into your scene cards and also the Rides Series which includes this floral truck as well as a Birthday Buggy, Christmas Truck, Spooky Wagon and some sweet add-ons!
Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a fun and crafty day!!!
Thank you Lynn for this amazing tutorial and gorgeous card.
I'm sure everyone will be inspired by your art.
