Treat Me Like the Queen! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

There is a pretty challenge going on right now on the Art Impressions blog...
Pretty in Pink!

I made two cards that fit the theme and two bonus ones with the same design but not in pink.

I've used the Queen sentiment from AICS31 – Pamper Yourself.

The sassy lady is from 4370 – Crown Set.

The Hello die cut is from 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die.

Oh my gosh!  I just love her attitude!

Why am I not the Queen?? by Janet

Hello Ai fans! Today I'm sharing another card for the Get In Shape Challenge. Last weekend, I posted a towel shaped card made with AiCS31 - Pamper Yourself. This weekend, I'm sharing the card I made with the other main image in this set. I also used the Ai 5063 - Rectangle Double Stitched Dies and the 5133 - Flag Double Stitched Dies for this card. Here our lady is prepared to receive her massage. What I love about her is that she knows her self worth and ponders just why it's asking too much to be treated like the queen she is!

The crown-shaped card base was created by enlarging an image in Cricut Design Space. The front includes all the pieces in purple, gold and mirror cardstock. Pearl and gem bling was used to decorate it. The back is a solid version of the shape. I connected the two together by scoring a horizontal line about 3/4 down from the top of the solid shape. The two pieces are glued above the score line creating a hinge for the card. You can turn any shape into a card using this method.

I really enjoyed coloring this lady with Copic markers. I added additional fold details to the towel and light shading. A little white gel pen was used for highlights n her arm, mask and earing.

COPIC COLORS USED:
C00, C0, C1, C3, C5
BV04, BV02, BV00
YR14, YR 15, YR 18
E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20

Thanks so much for joining me here today. Don't forget that our current challenge Get in Shape is running through Wednesday of next week. A new challenge will be up on Thursday. Submit your shaped cards (no rectangles or squares) for a chance to win Ai stamps of your choice. Click on the image below to be taken to the challenge post and link up your creation.

Funny Birthday Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Friends!
Tasha here sharing a new card created for the Ai Get in Shape Challenge!

My card was created with the super fun AICS31-Pamper Yourself Stamp Set. This set is perfect for January since so many of us have a New Year's resolution to work on our fitness goals.

The background is simple, but really creates a nice scene. I used a stencil to frame the image and Distress Oxide Ink for the ground. I also stamped the sentiment directly on the inked card, I love this funny greeting!

Lastly, I added a layer of pink paper and purple polka-dot pattern paper before attaching it to an A2 sized card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and will participate in the Get in Shape Challenge!

That Scale Can't Be Right! ... Right? by Janet

Congratulations everyone! We made it to 2022! I am looking forward to a creative year ahead with my favorite stamp company in the world, ta da! Art Impressions of course!

After the holidays, a lot of us have had enough of our clothes fitting too tightly. We start to eat better and add a little more exercise back in. At least that's me anyway. After gaining a few holiday pounds, it's time to get back at it. It's kind of a grind to get started but with a little humor it's a lot easier. What better way to get some humor into your life than with a great stamp set from Art Impressions?

My card today is made from the Pamper Yourself stamp set. The funny sentiments paired with two hilarious mature ladies makes this one of my favorite sets. I am inspired by our current Get In Shape Challenge which is going on at our blog through next Thursday. I hope you'll join in with us. It's easy and you could win Ai stamp sets of your choice. Click on the challenge image to participate!

It was fun to make a card base that wasn't the typical rectangle or square. The towels were perfect for the sentiment I chose to use. The shape came from Cricut Design Space. I sized up the towel image for a card base and cut all the pieces for the front and a blank solid piece for the back. I attached the two pieces with a fold at the very top of the blank card base. When the front is glued on to the area above the fold, it allows the card to open from the bottom and stand. This method works like a charm to make a card base out of nearly any shape.

Copic Markers Used:
C00, C0, C3, C5
BV00, BV02, BV04
E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20

Have a great weekend and don't forget to submit your shaped card into the challenge. You have until next Thursday to do it.

Happy Creating!

Thin Enough by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the Thin Enough stamp set from Art Impressions.  There is a larger set called Pamper Yourself which has this stamp set along with a few others.
It came together rather quickly.  I stamped the woman and the sentiment first and Copic colored her.  I added the panel to my glitter background.
I finished off my card by adding a shadow for my lady.  I also added some matching sequins for added dimension to my card.  That was it. The card came together rather quickly.
Here is one more look at the card.  I love how it says what a lot of us women are thinking.
Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Make sure you come back soon to the Ai blog and see what the team has been up to.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut around my stamped images and added a background layer behind them. I just had to paper piece the towels for some more added fun! I love the different Stitched Scallop dies on each card as well.
See!!!! Isn't this humorous "Pamper Yourself" set just the cutest! It's sure to bring a smile to your recipients face!
