Back To School Mini Scrapbook Page by Nina

Hello Ai friends, Nina here with a new mini 6 X 6 scrapbook page. I was wishing to create a Back To School themed scrapbook layout so I did dig into my Art Impressions Stash and used all the sets that had school pencils, markers, pens and tools.

I found many.. so I used them all :)
They are Office Party Set, Craft Bag Set and Teachers Rule Set. Started off by stamping all my images using My Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my Mini Misti and colored them using my Copic Markers.

Copic Shades:

Blues: B45 B32
Oranges: YR24 Yr04
Reds: R27 R29 R35
Green: YG17 YG23
Yellow: Y17 Y08
Greys: C0 C1 C2 C3 C4 C5

I then die cut my images, put them aside to start creating my scrapbook layout background.
I cut a piece of wood grain pattern paper into a little bigger than 5.5 X 5.5 Inch and used a back to school paper collection from my stash that had the perfect match of shades that I used with my Copic markers.

I cute red, yellow, blue and green strips and stacked them to the left and added a 2 strips of different blues horizontally near the bottom of the page.

I then printed this adorable picture of my kids on thier first day of school. After their first day of school they came to give me a flying kiss through the window of the passenger seat, I melted and took this memorable lovely photo 😍😍

I left a white margin when I was trimming the photo then backed it with a light blue scrap of paper to make it stand out against the busy background.

I attached my photo with double sided tape overlapping to strips on the left and above the horizontal ones. I then added this cute sticker strip of apples with thier lower edge on top of the horizontal blue strip and part of their tops laying on the photo of the kids to bring all the elements together.

I then started playing around with placing my Art Impressions stationery elements. I was aiming for a cluster coming out from underneath the lower right corner of my photo.

I placed the note pads, markers, scissors, glue, tape and ruler and finished off with the check mark and the A+ grade flying around the cluster.

I also placed my adorable pencil holder on the top of the photo aligned with one of the left strips.

I also added extra elements to complete my page; the Back to school sign with couple ribbons beneath and a cute school bus at the bottom and finish off with couple star stickers and enamel dots.

You Rule! Tag Album by Nina

Hello Ai fans, Nina here coming today with a whole new project that I am so excited to share with you.

So I got this new Die Set called Tag Stitched Dies and I immediately thought I will create an on-going Tag Album and keep adding to it new creations using Ai sets.

For my first creation I will use this cute Teachers Rule Set.

The Tag Stitched Dies Set creates different tag sizes and also includes some decorative dies. I will create my tags using the biggest die. I die cut it the tag using my die cut machine.

I stamped the cute teacher and other images from the Teacher Rule set using my Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my Mini Misti then colored them with Copic Markers.

To create the background I stamped my glass mat with blue Distress Ink pads, Speckled Egg, Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China, then sprayed it with water and pressed my tag against it multiple times in different areas to create an interesting pattern on my background.

I used dies from Journal Template set to cut around my sentiments. I also die cut a strip to be the ground the teacher stands on and I colored it with the same Copic shade I used for her shoes.

I glued the ground strip with Nuvo glue then backed all my images with foam tape and assembled them on the tag. I then decorated with some enamel stickers.

I cut couple tags for the future projects and bound them together with my first tag in a red ring.

29 YEARS!

Hi Ai fans! This week I played with this Teachers Rule stamp set. It's the middle of the summer but I thought it would be fun to make a teacher card.

I stamped the image onto smooth white card stock with Memento black ink and colored it in with alcohol markers. I used a double stitched oval die to die cut the image out. I layered the image over three different pieces of pattern paper. I added  few sequins to fill in some of the empty spots.

I love this sentiment "29 YEARS + A BUNCH MORE = 29 YEARS!" This sentiment is just too cute.

Spectrum Noir Markers: VB1, VB2, VB3, IG2, IG4, IG5, TN1, TN2, EB1, EB2, EB3, GB1, LG1, LG5, CR7, CR8, CR10

Happy stamping!

Send my kids back to school! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a Covid card.  I've been making tons of cards for people who are in the medical profession, people who are in essential jobs like postal workers and people who are alone.

This one is for all the moms!  Moms who are working from home and also needing to help home school their kids.  Moms who are teachers and also trying to deal with their own kids.  Moms who are stay at home moms and are just not loving having their kids home 24-7 with NO outlet! lol!

I used Madge and a little image from the Teachers Rule Work and Play Set.
I just printed the text on my computer.  How many of you out there can relate to this?  My kids are both in college and the online learning has been a challenge but they're making it work.  I can't say that I hate having them home more!

In N.Y. we were supposed to be in school for 3 more weeks but that didn't happen.  It's been a roller coaster of emotions for me but, this too, shall pass.  I think if this has taught us anything it's to appreciate what we have.

Teachers Rule by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Fans!

When I saw this adorable Teachers Rule set, I just had to have it.  Teachers work so hard (I know because our daughter is an 8th grade science teacher) and they always appreciate a kind note to recognize that.

I stamped her in a Copic safe ink and also stamped her skirt onto some gingham paper.  I fussy cut the skirt out and ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker along the edges to give a clean look.  I colored her in Copic markers (listed below).

For the chalkboard, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it in white.  I used an ink dauber  to lightly smudge white pigment ink around on the black paper for a chalky look.  The chalkboard frame is layered three times for some dimension.  The teacher has a bit of dimension with some thin foam tape.

I thought it needed a little something extra, so I stamped the pencil cup and apple, colored it and then fussy cut it.  It's also popped up with foam tape.  I added a few clear hearts to the chalkboard too.

The end of the school year will be here before you know it!  I hope this has inspired you to get started on some cards for those hardworking teachers!  Happy stamping!

Teachers Rule by Cheri Burry!

Hello Ai Fans!
Here in Ontario the Kids go back to School on Tuesday, so I thought it was the perfect time to use the Art Impressions "Teachers Rule" set! That sentiment just cracks me up! I give tremendous credit to all Teachers for the amazing job they do and the patience they have!
I thought the school themed papers from the Doodlebug "Back To School" 6x6 collection were perfect for my card design! I fussy cut my image using my Brother Cut N Scan and then popped her up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto the front of her desk.
As you can see the "Teachers Rule" set has so many fun sentiments and images to create so many different card designs! What a great value this set is!

29+ years by Sharon Caudle

Hello AI Fans!!

Today I've got a couple cards I made using 4901 Teachers Rule Set from Art Impressions. This is a great set for all the teachers in your life! I used the same colors on both of her except the skin tones. I apologize...I'm having a hard time with my pictures because the lens on my Canon died. So while I'm waiting for a replacement lens, all my pictures are being done with my phone and it's just not the same.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and hope to see you back again soon! Until then - stay crafty!!

Publications! by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I was lucky enough to have two cards published in the current edition of Creative Scrapbooker magazine!  The sitting teacher and the coffee-drinking-chicken are both on page 138... I also made two other coordinating cards, so I'm going to share them all today.  Here are the two from Teachers Rule (Sku #4901):
I've had these wonderful school themed papers for a while, and I made a bunch of geometric shapes to place behind her, as well as the cute little ruler that comes with the set.  The ruler & sentiment are adhered with pop dots:
On this card I did a little zig zag stitching with my sewing machine, made the sentiment into a speech bubble, and adhered it with pop dots:
Here's my magazine gal!  I added some coffee mug die cuts to go with her sentiment:
And everyone loves dancing cows :o)
Happy stamping!
