To Someone Sew Nice Matchbook by Crystal

Hi Ai fans! Have you seen Art Impressions Matchbook Collection? They are just adorable. This week I played with the Sewing Room set.

I stamped all of the images with Memento black ink onto smooth card stock. I colored all of the images in with alcohol markers. Such tiny images but they have so much detail in them. I die cut all of the images out with the coordinating dies.  I love that they have a die for the envelop so you can make everything match.

 Happy Stamping!

Cake Birthday Card Set by Crystal

Hey Ai fans! Well I'm back again this week to share a card set using the Birthday Cake stamp set. I love this birthday card stamp set there is so many cute cakes in this set. I might have gotten a little carried away making cards with this set this week I made three different cards and one is a shaker card.

My first card was really simple I love making striped paper backgrounds with scrap paper I find it relaxing. This card I die cut a corner rounded double stitched rectangle and matted it onto hot pink card stock.

I adhered the large cake to a small double stitched rectangle die cut out of pink card stock. I also added a smaller cake to the side of the card. I did not add a sentiment I felt with the pattern paper it was not needed.

The second card was made using stripped paper but I die cut a circle opening to adhere the birthday cake onto pink card stock.

I added  a banner at the bottom of the card and die cut the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from the Twist Frame die set to place over the banner.

For my last card I have to share today is a shaker card! I love shaker cards they are so much fun! I die cut a double stitched square and the opening out with a circle double stitched die. I use acetate for the window. I get depth for the sequins I use a double layer of foam tape.

I used the same die cut sentiment as the previous card and adhered it over the top of the circle window. Since this is a shaker card it already has a lot going on so I added a small cake slice from the stamp set to the side.

Happy Stamping!

29 YEARS!

Hi Ai fans! This week I played with this Teachers Rule stamp set. It's the middle of the summer but I thought it would be fun to make a teacher card.

I stamped the image onto smooth white card stock with Memento black ink and colored it in with alcohol markers. I used a double stitched oval die to die cut the image out. I layered the image over three different pieces of pattern paper. I added  few sequins to fill in some of the empty spots.

I love this sentiment "29 YEARS + A BUNCH MORE = 29 YEARS!" This sentiment is just too cute.

Spectrum Noir Markers: VB1, VB2, VB3, IG2, IG4, IG5, TN1, TN2, EB1, EB2, EB3, GB1, LG1, LG5, CR7, CR8, CR10

Happy stamping!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Hi Ai fans! This week I played with the Road Trip stamp set. I made two cards using this stamp set this week. For both cards I stamped this image onto smooth white card stock with Memento Black ink. I colored both images in with alcohol markers then fussy cut both images out.

For both cards I die cut a rectangle out of Kraft card stock.

Both card I stamped the stop light on the right side and colored them in with alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment "Girls just wanna have fun!" on both cards on the left top corner.

For my first card I adhered the car onto the Kraft card stock and added some sequins scattered around. I matted the Kraft card stock onto some pattern paper.

For my second card I stamped some of the sentiment stamps randomly onto the Kraft card stock. then I adhered the car to the Kraft card stock. I also adhered some sequins onto the Kraft card stock.

Happy Stamping!

Heard It's Been Ruff | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm sharing this card I made using the Doggie Kisses set but focusing more on using those smaller stamps. I've been trying to write down color combinations that interest me and this one uisng; Coral, Blue, Mustard, Lavender and Gray really captured my attention, so I knew I had to make something using those specific hues.

I started off with cutting the oval in the center using the Double Stitch Oval dies. The one I used is one of the smaller sizes that comes in the set, but I wanted something that would just barely show the dog. Luckily clear stamps make it very easy to see how things will look before you stamp and die cut!

To stamp the bandage, I used several Gina K Inks in the colors mentioned above, exact colors listed below. I do stamp in clusters and in threes at first then fill in from there. Through out the process I just kept in mind that I also wanted larger white areas so that I could add a few more elements.

In those larger areas is where I stamped the lavender paw print and the sentiments for the front. It was fun just stamping instead of stamping to color. It's like making your own pattern paper. I did go over the bandages with a W1 and W0 Copic marker just to give them some depth. Totally optional step though.

Now for the inside I was able to line up the dog where I wanted him to show through on the front of this card. After that I simply closed the lid of my stamp platform and used a piece of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock to stamp on to. Then I colored a simple scene with Copic markers. I thought the sentiment mentioning the dog cone was hilarious, so I used that on the inside with the coordinating image. Then adhered that to the inside.

I've always liked making window cards and I love the way it looks with the pattern stamping using the smaller stamp images on the front. It's also a great way to experiment with some color combinations. I usually search by season or sometimes you just see a color combination that inspires you.

Copic Markers Used:
Card Front - W1, W0
Inside - W6, W3, W1
C5, C1, E74, E77
E31, E3, RV91

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Stamping!

Cool Kat by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai Fans!

I am here today to share a card with you from the fun set - 5046 - Meerkat . I just love these little guys. Isn't he just the cutest? Go check out the full set at Art Impressions.

I decided to something a little different for this card.  It is your typical A2 sized card but with a little bit of a change .

Notice anything?  The card front is smaller.  I actually cut 2 inches off the  bottom to give it a little depth since I wasn't using any foam tape or any embellishments.

It left enough of the card covered so I could l could still add a sentiment to the inside of the card. I firmly believe the inside of a card is just as important as the outside.

I really like how it looks. I will definitely be doing this in the future again.  Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting today.

Copics used:

B14, B16
E55, E57, E77
R35, R37
Y13, Y15, Y17, Y19

Until next time …
