For The Birthday Girl Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card inspired by the Ai Midnight Snack Challenge! For my card I'm featuring the super cute hippo stamp from the 5400 - Baby Critters Set. I just love this adorable hippo!

To create the little scene, I started by stamping the hippo image and coloring her with markers. I wanted this card to be bright and cheerful, so I used a variety of pink and yellow colors. She looks so happy sitting on the green grass with her pretty pink cupcake!

Lastly, I stamped "To The Birthday Girl" greeting from the 5735 - Birthday Sentiment Set and attached white enamel dots for some dimension. I also added layers of glitter paper, polka dot pattern paper, and shimmery gold and pink card stock to complete the design.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you will join in the Challenge!

Welcome to Our Home by Mercy Sauer

Welcome folks to Ai’s newest challenge, Home is where the šŸ’—is!

This is Mercy and I welcome you back!

My challenge card is subtle! To choose the story for my card, I looked at the sets I have in my stash. When I saw these guys, I knew I had to use them! How sweet are they? An egg carton full of sweet siblings (that's my story and I'm sticking to it)....lol

I created a see-through window (I'm totally enjoying creating windows lately!), did some stamping, some coloring, added a few sentiments, and I was done!

It's simple but it does not lack any charm and I think it would bring a smile to a lucky recipient.

Like always, join our challenge, looking forward to seeing your creations!

Oh Baby! by Mercy Sauer

šŸ’– Hello Friends, Mercy here with another week of crafty bliss šŸ’–
This week I created five cards!

I wanted to showcase the amazing cuteness overload and versatility of this set. I love it!
The first two cards are very similar, a birthday party featuring the adorable critter friends. I used a small-scale brick background inked in blue and my favorite floor stamp to create the scene. For one of the cards, the sentiment color is the same as the floor, drawing the attention upwards towards the wall and critters. For the other, it's stamped the same color as the brick wall. Glossy Accent gives a whimsy shine to some elements on both cards. The mini slimline shape is perfect for the card with less critters, whereas, the larger full size slimline card is perfect for the second one. It’s a matter of balance between the critters, the background, colors and size. Oh, and pop ups, lots of pop ups

For the third card I created a simple heart shaped card. I love bird elements so I chose to make this little guy the star of the show paired with a very simple background that complements the blue bird.

I love the fourth card. Using just the banners and two elements of the set highlighted by an oversized sentiment. I also masked the border to suggest it was popped up even though it was not. I reserved the added thickness for the critters and sentiments. Once again, a little Glossy Accent goes a long way.
Note: The sentiment is no longer available but there are others that would work just the same.

Lastly the simplest of the five cards. The interest comes from popping up the center cut out panel by stacking up multiple layers of yellow cardstock. Subtle, yet punchy!

Check out this set, it’s super cute and fun to play with!
Have a great week everyone!

Hey Party Animal! You Rule! by Janet Axtman

Hi everyone! It's Janet here with another entry for the Lions, Tigers and Bears challenge on the blog. This time I chose to use the Baby Critters stamp set. It has many cute little animals but I focused on the lion for the challenge. Here it is in action

I used Copic markers to color the lion, the party wagon, balloons and bird. I also used the Rectangle Double Stitched Die set. I love making interactive cards so I decided to make this one with a sliding and a pop up element. It was so fun to make! It made me a happy little paper engineer.

This set is a lot of fun to work with as there are many elements you can choose from. The bird is so sweet and the balloons and gifts are fun to jazz up with your own patterns if you so choose.

I made this card with a front grassy panel that hides the mechanism which moves the bird across the scene and pops up the Party Animal sentiment.  Lots of fun!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed seeing this little scene and how it moves. Have a great weekend!

Happy Creating!

Lions, Tigers, Bears, Oh MY! New challenge #310

Hello Ai fans!

What a fun day today is!
We have our Cloudy with a Chance...challenge winner,
we have a new challenge and best of all...we got a double dose of Crystal!
She was our daily post this morning (be sure to check that out!)
and now she has a wonderful feature
for our new Lions, Tigers, Bears, Oh MY! challenge.
Enjoy her adorable animal shaker card and tutorial.

Hi Ai fans! It's time for a new challenge Lions, Tigers, Bears Oh My! The first stamp set that came to mind was this Baby Critters stamp set. I have made so many cards with this stamp set I think it is my favorite stamp set of Art Impressions. So for this challenge I made a shaker card.

I started with the second largest double stitched rectangle and die cut a rectangle out of white card stock.

I then die cut three circles out of that same rectangle.

I die cut a 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" double stitched rectangle out of some purple shimmer card stock.

I added acetate to the back side of the white card stock. I used foam tape around all of the circles so I could add different colors of sequins to each circle.

I stamped the lion with Memento black ink, colored the lion in with alcohol markers and die cut him out with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment "I'm Wild about you" with Versafine black ink.

I added the lion to the bottom left corner. Matted the sentiment onto some purple card stock. To finish off the card I added some sequins on to the front of the card.

Happy stamping!

And now, drum roll please...
The winner of our last challenge is Debbie H.!
Congratulations Debbie.  We loved how your entire card was
covered in stenciled/sponged clouds and your basket of apples popped
against that background!
