Welcome Baby! Card by Tasha

Hi Art Impressions fans!
Tasha here, and I’m bear-y excited to share my latest card creation inspired by the current "Un-Bear-ably Cute" Challenge! Today, I’m playing with the absolutely adorable new 6017–Baby Panda Set, and love these little panda stamps!

As a huge fan of panda bears, I couldn’t wait to get started. I began by stamping the sweet baby panda and the stack of gifts using black hybrid ink. After that, I brought them to life with my Copic Markers and white gel pens. Using the coordinating dies (included in the set—yay!), I cut out the images so I could pop them up with foam tape for a little extra dimension.

For the background, I wanted to create a cozy little room scene; something that feels like a warm home. I designed plaid-patterned walls and a wooden floor, imagining the baby panda sitting comfortably indoors, patiently waiting to open all those presents!

Once my cozy background was ready, I layered the panda and gifts onto the card using foam tape to give them that fun, popped-up look. For the base, I used silver glitter paper cut with the 5063–Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies to add a little sparkle. To bring it all together, I layered white and metallic purple cardstock, plus a panel of purple polka-dot Ai pattern paper that matched perfectly with the panda’s accessories.

To finish off the design, I added one of the sweet sentiments from the set—"We can Bear-ly wait to meet you" stamped in black on crisp white cardstock. I matted the sentiment with metallic purple paper for a polished look that ties everything together.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join in the challenge!

Welcome Little One! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here, and today I'm sharing a sweet little card for our current Un-Bear-ably Cute! challenge. I used the adorable new 6017 – Baby Panda Set—this little bear is just too cute with her balloons!

I began by stamping the baby panda and cutting her out with the coordinating die. For the background, I added a piece of Art Impressions’ cloud pattern paper. I used foam tape to lift the panda off the card slightly, giving her the look of floating through the sky with her pretty pink balloons.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Welcome Baby” and layered it with pink and gray patterned paper to match the panda’s colors. I also added a pink gingham background and finished it off with a silver glitter frame for a bit of sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and feel inspired to join in on the Un-Bear-ably Cute! challenge.

Have a creative weekend and happy crafting!

It was my turn as our Featured Artist and I made a Z fold baby card.

All of my measurements are listed below.

My coworker and friend is expecting her very first grandchild.
I decided to make an ABC, 123 WWBB card. (What Will Baby Be?)
Her son and his wife will be finding out later this month and I know how excited she is to find out.

I just love all of the dies from Art Impressions. The mini dies are some of my favorites and fit so well with the new letter and number dies.

For all of the scoring I did, I used my Martha Stewart scoreboard. This helps me get crisp lines on my card folds.

Joel's new papers were so perfect for the card that I envisioned.

This is a pretty straight forward card so I didn't take many pictures of the process. It's really just about having the measurements.

For the white card base I measured cardstock out to be 8 5/8" long x 5 1/2" high/wide.

I then scored the white cardstock at 2 1/8" and then again at 4 1/4".

Next, I cut all of my panels.

The Teal panel was made using the 2nd largest die from the double stitched rectangle die set.
The gingham insert page measured 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".
The yellow matte around those two panels measured 5 1/8" x 3 15/16".

For the panels on the smaller Z sections, these are the measurements.

Yellow cardstock: 5 1/8" x 1 3/4"
Teal paper: 4 3/4" x 1 3/8"
Gingham paper: 4 5/8" x 1 1/4"

I hope you like my card. I can't wait to see what you create using letter and number dies.

Vintage Baby Cards by Jami

Happy Watercolor weekend!
This weekend I have 2 cards that would be perfect for a child's birthday.  My grandson turned one year old last month and I had him on my mind as I created these 2 cards.
I used one stamp set, #5400 Baby Critters and one paper pack, #5873 Mini Birthday for both cards.  I challenged myself to use different patterns from the paper pack to layer and add dimension.  I had a lot of fun using dies and a paper punch to punch out the circles and add details.  For each of the cards I started by stamping all of the images on watercolor paper and then painting the images with the following Tombow markers: 312, 879, N55, N45, N35, 772, 603, 401, 569, 526, 026, 817, 177, 977 and 969.  Then the images were die cut using the matching dies from the stamp set and these critters are so cute!  When I assembled these cards I used decorative dies from my supplies.  On the giraffe card I popped up the bird using dimension dots to give more depth, and I did the same on the tiger card for the pink balloon.

For this tiger card I did the same as the previous card but I added glossy accents to the balloons to give a nice sheen.  If you are struggling with layouts for your cards I encourage you to look on the internet for layouts that you can incorporate many different patterns of paper from one paper pack.  I know for myself I tend to only use maybe one or two and this was fun creating with a lot of different designs.  Al

Thank you for taking the time to checkout my creations and as always, please ask me if you have any questions.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying the spring weather!

So Sweet by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

It's always good to have some baby cards on hand.  I mean, even though you usually have about 6 months notice, sometimes those showers or births can sneak up on you. I work in an elementary school with lots of young teachers so it seems like someone's always pregnant. lol!

The baby girl, duck and sentiment are all from 5185 – Baby Girl Set and they're stamped and matted on circles from 5726 – Nested Circle Dies.  It's difficult to see it but the wall behind her is embossed to look like shiplap paneling. I used a scoreboard to do that.

The little bow, star and banner that the sentiment is stamped on are all from 5543 – Journal Template Die Set. In my opinion, even if you never make a journal, this is a MUST HAVE set!!  There are so many useful dies in this amazing set. I've circled the dies that I used so you can better see them.

This is such a precious set. I hope next time you have a new baby to welcome that you'll give this set a try!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Copics used:

RV09, RV10, RV55, RV66, YG06, YG11, YG67, C0,
Y11, Y32, Y35, E02, E33, E35, E1, E51, E81, E93

For The Birthday Girl Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card inspired by the Ai Midnight Snack Challenge! For my card I'm featuring the super cute hippo stamp from the 5400 - Baby Critters Set. I just love this adorable hippo!

To create the little scene, I started by stamping the hippo image and coloring her with markers. I wanted this card to be bright and cheerful, so I used a variety of pink and yellow colors. She looks so happy sitting on the green grass with her pretty pink cupcake!

Lastly, I stamped "To The Birthday Girl" greeting from the 5735 - Birthday Sentiment Set and attached white enamel dots for some dimension. I also added layers of glitter paper, polka dot pattern paper, and shimmery gold and pink card stock to complete the design.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you will join in the Challenge!

Welcome Little One MTF by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I needed to make a baby girl card.  I didn't want to go overboard, so I made a point of keeping it simple. I used the Welcome Little One MTF stamp and die  set along with the new Baby Mini Dies.
The images are stamped with MFT Extreme black ink onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth cardstock. I simply followed the directions on the packaging to make a TriFold card and stamp and cut out the dies.
The coloring is done with Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol. Gamsol is a liquid that breaks down the wax in the colored pencils and helps it move around the paper.  The Gamsol is applied with a paper stump. Simply add colored pencil where you want the darkest color and use the wet paper stump to add color to the lighter areas. The Primacolor pencils I used are listed at the end of the post. I cut the pin with the new Baby Mini Dies and added it next to the sentiment.
Prismacolor Colored Pencils Used:
Baby - Eggshell, Deco Pink
Crib - French Gray 30%
Hot Pink, Mulberry, Light Aqua, Mineral Orange

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!
