It's time for a new challenge! This one is all about Animal Print, how fun is that?! Crystal has a tutorial to share for inspiration on our theme, let's take a look!

Hi Ai fans!

I love using stamps in different ways for this challenge Animal Prints I thought I would do some paper piecing and include some cow hide pattern paper as my animal print.

Since I was using cow hide animal print I used the Cowgirls Girlfriend set I though it would be a perfect match for cowhide. The Cowgirl set is one of my current favorite girlfriend stamp sets.

To start I stamped the image with Momento Black ink and I only colored in the part of the image that was not going to be covered with pattern paper, which was just the skin, hair and two of the friends boots.

I then stamped the image multiple times onto some different patterns of paper. I then fussy cut different pieces out.

I found it easiest to apply glue directly to the stamped image then place the pattern paper onto the full image. By using glue I had a little wiggle room to move the small piece around if I needed too. Once everything was adhered in place with glue I fussy cut the whole image out.

I die cut some pattern paper out to use as the background for the cowgirls. I stamped the sentiment "Have a boot scootin' two steppin' toe tappin' wild west birthday" onto a die cut tag with a dark brown ink. I adhered a couple of the layers with foam tape to add a little dimension to the card.

Once I had all of the layers adhered together I adhered the whole panel to a top folding 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" card base.

I look forward to seeing what every one else makes for this challenge.

Spectrum Noir Markers:

It's me or the house! | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Happy Friday! This Housework set had me laughing after reading all the wonderful sentiments in it. I couldn't wait to color this glamorous lady! I love that she's wearing her pearls, heels and a fancy dress, which I had to paper piece with this shimmer textured cardstock. She had me laughing, but wait until you see the inside. lol!

I started this design out by stamping the lady from the Art Impressions Housework set, using Amalgam ink. All the images are colored with Copic Markers, except the dress portion which I stamped on to a piece of Tonic Luxury Embossed paper and fussy cut out. Then adhered over the stamped dress. It is very hard to see in the photo but it has a floral embossed pattern and is a shimmery aqua color.

Since the challenge for this week is shape cards I wanted to play around with shapes. I cut the colored card panel using the largest Double Stitch Hexagon die and a rectangle stitch die, only cutting part of the hexagon. I layered a piece of pattern paper (Pink Fresh Indigo Hills) behind. This pattern cardstock already had a bit of texture and splatter to it but I added more by using a couple of Distress Oxide inks. I was going for a coffee splatter kind of look lol. Which seems to be the mess I clean up almost daily.

I also stamped the sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and clear embossing powder on to a piece of vellum. Then, I cut the stamped vellum with a Flag Stitch die. Vellum can be tricky to adhere but I find that you can't see the adhesive through the sentiment or with the splattered background, I just used my ATG to do that.

I like to add just a bit of the front of the card to the inside of the card. For this one I used the hilarious cat riding the robot vacuum image, which is also included in the Housework set! All I had left was to stamp another great sentiment and add a strip of pattern paper to the bottom.
That cats face Lol!

It's Your Day, Celebrate! by Dana Warren

Hello AI fans!!

Today, I have a fun and clean card for you! It's not really simple because it's a lot of paper piecing but definitely a fun card!!

I started by stamping the Party Girls Set on a white panel. Then I stamped the image many more times on different pattern paper from Me and My Minds Eye Hooray paper pad.

With sharp scissors, I fussy cut the ladies tops, bottoms and balloons. Then with a black marker, I colored the edges of all the fussy cutting.

With my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored the ladies skin, shoes, and hair, oh and the confetti! I just matched the colors to the pattern paper. I used CR8, DR4, DR7, EB5, EB6, FS3, FS4, FS6, GY1, IG10, JG5, PP2, TN7, TN8.

After coloring, I used a liquid adhesive to adhere the paper pieced clothing and balloons. Liquid because I can move the paper around to line everything up correctly. Last I stamped the sentiment below the ladies and adhered the panel to a white card base. If you do this directly on a card base the coloring will show on the reverse side, to hide this I do all my stamping and coloring on a panel that gets's adhered to the card base!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy stamping and paper piecing!!

#BestDadEver by Dana Warren

Hello AI Fans!!

Father's day is right around the corner and today's card is perfect if you need a quick card at the last minute. I used FDMD Set, Gordon Golf Set with a little paper piecing.

I stamped Gordon on a white card base and on a piece of white cardstock. Then I stamped it a third time on some different pattern paper from some DoodleBug Designs pattern papers. I fussy cut out his shirt and pants.

With my Spectrum Noir markers, I colored everything else. I used BT5, BT6, EB5, EB6, FS2, FS6, FS9, IG2, IG4, IG6. Then I fussy cut out Gordon.

I added him to the card with foam tape and with a gray marker I added a little bit of ground for Gordon to stand on. Last I stamped the #bestdadever sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!!

Hole In One by Dana Warren

Hello AI Fans!!

Today I have a cute little card for that special golfer in your life, Gordon Golfer!! Sometimes they did a little pick me up or just a hello! I did some simple paper piecing today, the best way to do paper piecing, pick pattern paper from the same paper pad!! Super easy, no matching necessary!

Whenever I do paper piecing I always start with the paper! Since this is a card for a guy I used Fancy Pants Swagger pad. I think golf pants always call for plaid!! A little stamping and fussy cutting and I have a pant and a hat for my golfer!

Since I went with the gray striped background I kept his shirt basic white and added just a touch of color to his outfit by coloring his socks!! To color everything but his hat and pants I used my Spectrum Noir Markers: BG5, BG6, EB5, EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, IG1, IG2, JG6.

I kept the panel I stamped and colored the golfer on simple and square! So I did the same for the sentiment, though made it into a rectangle. I added the square and rectangle to the card with foam tape and lastly added a few matching enamel dots!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Birthday Wishes by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I have found myself in need of a handful of masculine cards recently!  I pulled out one of the Ai clear stamp sets called Birthday Wishes (Sku #AICS36) who has this cute fella as one of the images, and made three similar cards:
The houndstooth print was perfect for paper piecing, so I tried it out for both his top and shorts:
I popped up a couple of the images & sentiments with pop dots, and left one flat for easier mailing.  I added some blue epoxy bubbles and some zigzag stitching with my sewing machine, and that was it!

 Copics used: E13, E11, E00, E000, R30, W3, W1, W00, B26, B24, B23, B21, Y26, Y21, E50, R22, YG95, YG93, YG91.  Happy stamping!
