Tears Ran Down My Leg by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am sharing a card with you this week that shows you can use your scraps to make an adorable card.
For this card I used the same white card base.  I also used the left over circle that were from last weeks project. For the stamp set; I chose the 4385 - Laughing Set from Art Impressions. This set is so fun.

I added my circle to my base card.  I colored my ladies and raised them up with foam tape.

Don't you just love Nuvo Drops?  These are one of the glossy ones. I also stamped my sentiment from the 4385 - Laughing set as well.  I colored it with one of my matching Copics. I placed it behind my glitter Banner Die cut piece.

For the inside I used another fun sentiment for the 4385 - Laughing Set.  I wanted to incorporate the front to the inside so I used the same Copic and made it look like a brushes stroke image under my sentiment. I LOVE how it turned out.

So ... here is my card from today using the left over pieces from last weeks card, shown here as well.  I even tried to color the images the same; didn't they turn out adorable?  I have the two perfect friends these are going to.  Which one is your favorite?

Through Thick and Thin! by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Fans!

My card today uses the Under My Umbrella set for this sweet girlfriends card.  Friends are so special and I think a card like this would be perfect to send to remind them you are there for them.

I started out by coloring the stamped image in with my Copic markers (listed below).  As I am in the building of my Copic collection and didn't have the colors I needed for shading, I used a couple Prismacolor pencils to add the shading on the pink and purple jackets.  I used one of the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched dies to cut it out.

I then stamped it again on some masking paper and fussy cut the mask out.  After placing the mask on the colored image, I used a stencil to add the raindrops.  After I taped off the edges (to keep a thin white border) I placed the stencil on top and taped it down at the top to create a sort of hinge.  This is so I can lift it up to see if I'm happy with my stenciling or need to add more in areas.  I used this Ranger ink blending brush (linked below) to first add a light blue background using Tumbled Glass Oxide without the stencil.  I then put the stencil on and stenciled the same ink and some Blueprint Sketch Oxide for the raindrops.  I really like using these brushes, as for me, I'm able to achieve a much lighter effect than when I use the foam pads.

To finish it up, I added some clear sparkle to the umbrella and a few other spots.  I also used a silver gel pen to color the belt buckle and the buttons on the purple jacket.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my card and a bit of the process today!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!

Let the shenanigans begin! by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card using one of the Ai Store Exclusive sets. Here I used the SC0795- Road Trip set which can be found at Michael's stores or in the Ai store online. When I first saw the 5006- Sham-rock Set, I not only loved the St. Patrick's images but I knew I could get double duty with the set by pairing this awesome sentiment with the Girlfriends sets! Who doesn't love a road trip with your besties? Let the shenanigans begin!

I thought this new "Impossible Card" style would be perfect for these four Girlfriends piled in a convertible to pop them upright! How fun! I previously made an A2 size card in this style but wanted the pop-up panel to be slightly larger here to fit the image so this card is 6x6.

For my "inside" sentiment which I placed behind the pop-up, I used another Michael's exclusive set, SC0678- Got Style. I also added a punched heart and the streetlight fit nicely on the right.

I made 2 versions of this by switching the two patterned papers. I don't know which I like better. These are definitely some of my fave cards I made...hope you enjoy them too!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!
