Sit back and relax...I've got TWO videos for you today! This first card was inspired by the current Art Impressions Blog Challenge which is called "I'm thankful for..."! Please join us in this fun challenge and/or check out the wonderful cards that your crafty peers have created!
So I dug through my stash and found the perfect leaf images from the Ai Halloween Slimline Set (5460) which is part of Ai's new Slimline Collection! This set has the individual leaves as well as a beautiful leaf border! This set comes with the stamps and coordinating dies...love that!!!
We will be doing some quick and easy inking to color in all of these leaves! For this, we will use some mini dye ink pads in many pretty fall colors which are listed below.
Then I decided to make the "Thankful" sentiment the star of the show for our slimline card! The Ai Block Letters Die Set (5072) was the perfect alphabet set for this sentiment. These letters are nice and large and measure approximately 1 1/2" tall...so they will definitely make a statement!
We will use some beautiful copper colored glitter paper to die cut the letters. I'll give you a few tips and tricks for perfectly lining up your letters!
We will also finish off this card by completing the inside of the card with a beautiful sentiment and some more leaves! We will do some simple masking to create a custom sentiment!
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE BRAND NEW EXCLUSIVE CHRISTMAS TRAIN POP-UP CARD BELOW!!!
The second card for today is an exclusive image that Ai has done in conjunction with Simon Says Stamp and it is called the "Christmas Train Set" and it comes with the coordinating dies! This little set has an adorable little train that you can fill with all of these cute little elves, presents, candy canes...and there is even a Santa and a sign to lead you to the North Pole and Santa's Workshop!
This set is being offered for a limited time only....so if you really love it be sure to order it right away!!!
To set the scene for our little train we will create a fun pop-up element inside the card so that our train will actually look like it is riding on the tracks! I will show you how to easily create this pop-up mechanism and how to create the adorable little train tracks. I'll also show you how to cut your cardstock to create a snowy border for the inside of your card so that it fits around your pop-up mechanism. It sounds complicated....but it is super easy!
We will also create a beautiful snowy sky using some Distress Oxide Ink and we will spatter it for a snowy effect!
All of the coloring will be done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and I will show you how I colored the train in order to get the most dimension.
We will keep the front of the card pretty simple because the inside of the card is the "show stopper"!
Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a fun and crafty day!!!

Hello Ai Fans - Bri Firth here! Today, I am sharing another ShadowBox Window card featuring the new Autumn Window Set. Check out all of Ai's 2021 new releases here! This project is featured on my personal blog today as well, check it out here.
I used the ShadowBox Window die to create the 3D window in the front of the card. I used coordinating Fall patterned paper to decorate the front of the card as well.
Below the window, I placed the "Thanks" die cut to go along with the harvest scene. I used my Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers to color the Thanksgiving scene from the Autumn Window Set.
Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!
Are you someone that LOVES Ai but is afraid of watercolor?
Yes!! That's me! I'm slowly learning and loving it. This set would easily work with Copic markers or colored pencils.
I feel like my watercoloring is quite rough but I'm pleased.
We're going to say that our sleigh is quite old and rusty...lol!
I used Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to my card.
I hope you check out all of the new releases! Especially the coastal series. I don't watercolor often but I feel like the new releases are great for regular cards as well. I hope you agree!
This week Art Impressions launched 4 new watercolor stamp sets that you won't want to miss! These are perfect for watercolor or even "regular" card scenes. Just click on a photo to be taken to the new set.
Take a look below to see what the fabulous Watercolor Design Team has created with them.
Hello Ai Watercolor fans!
I have three of the new sets incorporated into my project today.
I stamped the largest image from 5465 - WC Cliffs Set on my Canson XL Watercolor Paper using #969/565 Tombow Dual Brush Markers, then did the same with my image from 5466 - WC Lighthouse Set. Using the leaves from 5372 - WC Mini Foliage, I added some trees in #177/249, and added a wash of green to the grass area. With #493, I painted in the line of the water, and a wash of it beside the cliffs, and then dabbed some onto the sky to define where my clouds would be. I used #N55 and #565 to create my stormy sky, and also painted them into the crevices of the cliff. To warm up the cliffs and rocks, I added #992 and #969. I used the grey and blue to paint in shadows on the lighthouse and cottage, and to darken the windows, and then painted in #856 mixed with a little #969 to make a duller red for the roofs and chimneys.
I added #528 and #565 to the water to give it some deeper tones, and then with my #N55, I added the seagulls from 5473 - WC Seagull Set to the sky. This makes a great masculine card!
Hi watercolor fans! We have another great release for you. I created this Peaceful Seagull scene for you today!
Step 1 : The Posts
Ink the large post with 969, I added some 569 to the ropes. I didn’t stamp it off because I wanted it to be really dark. Next, stamp the smaller posts behind and to the right of the first. Pull the color out of the lines and add a little more color to the darkest areas.
Step 2: The Seagull
I inked up the seagull with 569 and 969, and stamped it off. Using my positioner, I placed him on top of the post. I pulled the color out of the lines just where the shadows would be (he’s white 😊).
Step 3: The Water
Using a few different blues, I layered the water. To create waves I left some areas white, darkening the blue under them. You can use squiggle lines to create ripples. I added some brown to the right bottoms of the posts for a reflection.
Step 4: The Sky
Using a really light wash of blue, just push the color around to create clouds. Continue to add darker colors in areas to create depth.
Lastly, sign and date.
I am so in love with this new release. It’s going to be a stellar card making year! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a great weekend. Remember to tag us on social media so we can see what you come up with! Happy crafting!

Hello,
I love these new stamps from Art Impressions! The 5466 Lighthouse set has six different lighthouses. If you would like to make this card, stamp the lighthouse inked in both the Tombow 565 and 969. Stamp it off on watercolor paper first. Next ink up the cliff from the 5465 Cliffs set inked the same way and use a stamp positioner to stamp it under your lighthouse. Pull the color out of the lines, then color the lighthouse roofs and door in 969. Use the fine tip Tombow TwinTone in blue to darken the windows. Use 565 to add shadows. Use 027 to color the lines on the lighthouse. Stamp the tree from the 5372 Mini Foliage set inked in 027. Use the foliage from that set inked in 933 to add the leaves to the trees. Use the grass from that same set inked in 027. Shade the cliffs with 969 and 565. Use the stamp positioner to stamp the posts and the seagull from the 5473 Seagull set inked in both 969 and 565. Pull the color out of the lines then use 969 and 565 to color the posts and ropes. The seagulls beak is 933. Use 565, 526 and 346 to create the water. The beach is 992. The sky is colored with N35 and 565. Ink the set of three seagulls with the N35. Cut it out with the 5062 Rounded Rectangle Die set. I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!
