Friends Forever Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing two cards created with the Ai 5516 Friends Forever Stamp Set!

For my first card I wanted to make a bright daytime scene. These girlfriends look like they are having a great time sitting together enjoying the weather! I enjoyed coloring their clothing and adding details to make their outfits unique.

I love this greeting and thought it would be perfect to send to a special friend. I used orange card stock to frame the sentiment to coordinate with the blue in the background. I also added red, white, and orange layers to the card to bring in more color.

The second card is a night scene and I used darker colors to go with the starry night sky. You can really customize this stamp to go with all different seasons. I think I may create a Fall and Winter scene next!

I created the background with various stencils and ink blended the edges. I wanted it to look like the bright moon was shinning, so I kept the center bright to spotlight the friends. This stamp is so cheerful and it's so much fun to get creative and give each character a different look.

I hope you enjoyed these projects and are having a wonderful day!

A little LOVElle for my friend by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card with a purpose.  I have a co-worker who's going through a rough time right now.  She found out a couple of months ago that she has bone cancer.  She's already previously beat thyroid cancer so this is pretty scary for her.  She's such a strong and wonderful woman that I wanted to give her a little "pick me up."  She loves dark chocolate so I put a candy bar in LOVELLE'S hand.

I put a bar of dark chocolate in a big clear envelope with the card.

Sometimes she doesn't feel like eating but when she does...I know this will make her very happy.
Isn't this saying just perfect?

  Stay Balanced (Sku#G4196)
I used my laptop to print off the teeny, tiny little Hershey Bar for her to hold on to.

**This is an amendment to my original post...today is 12-2-14.  I left this card and the chocolate bar on my friend's desk yesterday.  She told me that she had half the candy bar gone before she finished reading the card!  She said that she laughed pretty hard when she read it and said that's "so her."  She couldn't wait to show her other friends.  She doesn't exactly look like Lovelle.  She's really fit...kayaks,  runs 5K's and gets up at 5 am to do circuit training.  Sometimes I swear she just does all that so she can eat all the chocolate she wants!  Go K!  You're constantly in my thoughts!

Centerstep card

Hi AI Fans!
Sometimes I want to have a part of a stamp. Here I have masked a part of a stamp.
When you do this it´s  important  that you are careful how you mask your stamp

To see the stamp in full (click on the image to get to the AI's shop)

I masked off,  two of  the girls on this card. Do not forget to remove the mask before you stamp.

I hope you try it. In this way, you get a lot of new opportunities with your stamps.

Challenge 87 - On the Fringe

Hello Ai Fans!

Before we get into our challenge details, we would like to take a virtual minute to think of those affected by Superstorm Sandy. We have two design team members on the East coast (Reneé and Kerry). We heard from Reneé the morning after and her family incurred minimal damage in New York. I heard from Kerry this morning and all is fine, so glad to hear! For anyone affected by the storm, we pray for peace after the chaos and strength moving forward.

This week, our challenge is "On the Fringe." We're actually looking for the frilly stuff but here are the definitions for your thoughts :)
On The Fringe
1. Lit. at the outer boundary or edge of something.
2. Fig. at the extremes of something, typically political thought.
McGraw-Hill Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs. © 2002 by The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.
Since we won't get into the political thought :) ... let's see some EXTREME fringe! Push the boundary on those snips and cut to your heart's content! Give us some frill and curl those edges! Add a little fringe and upload your crafty creation to win! Check out the amazing cards from our DT this week!!!

Thank you design team for the AWESOME inspiration this week. Love all the different fabrics and frills! Such a talented group!!!

The winner from last week's "Scary Texture" challenge is ...
